Bring it to a tire shop, this way you'll get the practice in taking the spare down and re installing the spare back up into place.
I recommend checking it after you install it into its holder a week later.

@TexasWhiteIce at that mileage I'd probably get it patched from the inside at a reputable tire shop. Personally, I'd steer away from any plug kit with plastic handles. Having plugged dozens of tires all I can envision is the plastic breaking and the steel shaft going straight through my hand. I bought a good kit with steel handles many years ago. Something like this would probably work well.

Long time ago, I paid to have a shop fix a flat, then I got the invoice. $$$$$-Expensive-$$$$$. Then I found a tire repair kit in AutoZone and bought it. Later, after I encountered a road hazard that punctured my tire I FIXED MY OWN FLAT!!! Wow, I saved all that money it was FUN! And it was easy. My plugged tires never leaked so I was stoked and it was a fulfilling experience.

So. What did you do with your flat tire today?

Yes. There’s these little threaded slider things that slide in the rail and bolt to a bracket so they take up some space in the rail but you can mount the cleats wherever the brackets aren’t. Plus if you have the rear most rail you can use the whole length of it but I don’t. Actually may consider getting one, I don’t know…

    Thanks! Like it so far!

Just wear leather yard gloves if this is your fear. I've never broke a handle on one of these tools, I agree, buy a good one and some of the plastic ones are good.

His may be. I have the DMM from taco garage. I love it! My phone, GMRS mic and go pro have mounts. I need a good solution to hold a small handheld radio.

You are most welcome. I like the very low-profile of the RC product... Even the Tyger soft tonneau cover I purchased from Amazon:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0L5IVL?ie=UTF8

requires that the side rail cleats be placed between 3 aluminum clamps on each side. I find you don't really need full positioning freedom of the cleats along the side-rail. No big deal in that restriction.

And I added the front bed-rail, a.k.a. header-rail (someone suggested this in the thread but called it a "rear rail"), purchased from a toyota dealership which was running a special: P/N PT27835100BH
You should ask what your nearest dealership would charge you. I'd keep it OEM if you do. Sometimes, dealerships run specials, or give you a parts coupon. My cost before Christmas was $52.70 which included tax + shipping.

What is nice is you'll then have corner bed-floor anchors, front-rail cleats, and side cleats, and that is PLENTY to dog down what you are transporting. I applaud your consideration of a soft roll-up cover. Mine is very easy to roll up, and I have access to the whole bed vertically.

And FWIW - I purchased the following cleats from Amazon which seem fine to me:

I purchased two additional OEM cleats earlier so I now have three per rail and I want a cover that will continue to give me access to the entire bed when needed. I think I will look into the front bed rail, can't hurt. Appreciate your feedback.

I haven't either but if someone is gonna buy one anyway why not buy the one that you don't have to consider having leather gloves for? One less thing to grab when you're making a repair. ;)

    I agree.
I believe in the buy once, cry once mantra

This is the one I bought:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DIECCK?ie=UTF8

Used it twice in the 3 years I've had it. Fortunately it was on someone else's vehicle.

Installed the new c4 inner fender liners, kind of a pain. I wished they had used metric oh well, there in, got to run to the store and get some seamseal and roll on bed liner for the oe look.

I have a kit for my mountain bike w tubeless tires but it never occurred to me to get one for the truck. My tire shop will fix a flat for free but the question is when. They usually want you to drop it off and pick up a few days later. So the kit will be a big time saver.
