Before you buy a reman Denso… I’d either call or google the OEM part number from Toyota. I’ve had a ton of great luck finding new OEM parts on places like Amazon and online Toyota dealers. There’s one Toyota dealer that sells super cheap and has a code FREESHIP on anything over $75 I believe. A lot of people on this forum have bought Heritage grills and TRD Pro skid plates from this site (myself included) for hundreds less than local dealers are willing to sell them at. Can’t think of the site off the top of my head, but I’m sure a friend will chime in with the link

 

Well my relaxation happened last night… and it was short lived. Rest of weekend will be fairly rushed… doing a belated Christmas today with the Virginia side of the family, then to Baltimore tomorrow for more family stuff. I may have over used the term “relaxation”!!



But either way, it’s still Saturday… so I’m happy! Hope everyone has a great day!!

I definitely did my due diligence and checked multiple sources before buying the denso reman. Everything is more expensive than RockAuto. Even McGeorge had OEM reman units for $200+ out the door. Which bummed me out, but whatever. My plan is to hang onto the original and buy the parts needed to rebuild it. Maybe one day I'll get to throw it back in!

I didn't check Camelback. A few years ago there was a guy I corresponded with here on TW that worked there and was able to provide a discount for being a TW member. He hasn't logged into his account for a few years but I forgot his username.

 

@Taco1004 I love Toyota Parts Deal also, not sure if that was the source you might have been referencing.

 

Also another option is calling your local carquest or advanced auto. they can source oe parts through worldpac that is a major import parts supplier. not sure what prices would be since i worked for a used car retailer and dealt with wholesale prices.

 

Shop I worked at had a account with Worldpac, oe parts for cheap.

 

Beck Arnley is another great source to add to the list.

I can’t say for sure but I believe this was the link to the Toyota dealer page for the skid plate. Just dump your starter part number into the search bar and hopefully you’ll find what you need. Don’t forget the FREESHIP code.

I just got back from another trip. Nothing crazy but did a little over 1,200 miles this past week. Man I love this truck, best vehicle I’ve ever owned. I have whatever the opposite is of buyer’s remorse
