Been doing a lot, but I suck at updating by build thread. Here's the most recent big project!
(More stuff added to my build thread, link in the signature)

TRD lift kit. Kept my Trail Edition grille though. Heritage grille will be FS soon.

Thanks. That was scarier than jumping out of a plane with a dude strapped to my back lol

Replaced TRD Projector headlights with Alpha Rex LED ones. Didn’t hook up the harness for the light show for lock/unlock because this truck will spend a lot of time camping and don’t want neighbors to get mad at me for the super bright DRLs at night lol.

I didn’t view the trapped gas as a problem because all the axle dump exhausts do the same thing. Mine dumps after the axle and those dump before the axle so it’s further away still. And it’s not blowing directly on the tire. It slightly hits it so I have to test if it gets too hot if so I’ll angle it down more. It really depends how you cut it.

I'd like to add, the whole backpressure thing is a myth. It's a naturally aspirated engine. It doesn't matter one bit.

Yeah I only cut at most 20” off I don’t think that would affect anything. Especially after a muffler

Yeah, you're fine. People straight pipe these things and they still run fine. Looks good, and is useful in your situation! Good work!

Not a fan of the a/c return grill on the hood. What happens in the winter when the hood fills with water and freezes ?

You got balls cutting into your hood like that!!

But when it rains, won't that flood your engine? o_O

Washed truck. Clay barred the cab forward, wow its almost like fresh paint. Hoping to finish bed same way tomorrow. I wasn't worried about swirl marks so I went straight to Meguiers ceramic wax hybrid. Easy to apply and wipe off. I can't wait to see what it's like in the rain. Also bought some Mothers hybrid car wash, no more dawn dish soap here on out. Enjoy some pics below, caution, a couple are chrome heavy so watch out. This wax says it's safe for plastic, so I coated the black wrap on the window frame, looks really good I'm surprised.

Oh, last pic, look what I found on roof, how should I handle that?? Cripes.

Picked up from the Dealership on Thursday. Today I removed the bed stickers and Ceramic Coated it. Not sure how long it will last but figured why not.

I went with normal (lite, normal, sport). I honestly can’t imagine running the sport all the time. Normal is perfect. You get sport anyway when pressing the ECT button.
I have a stock truck in terms of suspension, wheel/tire size, etc and I got 21.4 mpg on the (fun) drive home.

If you watch your MPG’s, it would be interesting if you see any improvement at highway speeds, either from less trapped air, or less hood weight!
