Those of you who know me well outside of here, know I always talked highly about him. Hell, I would even brag about how amazing he's always been and how welcoming to the family he was when we first met. He said I was the son he never had, but finally got.

What breaks our heart the most is Theo never having the opportunity to meet what would be an amazing grandpa. He looked so forward to meeting him and would always talk about retiring when the baby came so he would spoil the heck out of him.

He was an amazing father, and it shows with both Stephanie and her sister.

Well, I'm heading back out to be there for the family. We just got home from picking up their car.

Damn man, that’s really rough. It all happens so fast. :(

If at any point you’re feeling a little outside or unsure of what to do, consider doing some cooking for the family. When my Dad passed from a heart attack a few years back, we had no desire to cook, but we still needed to eat. People brought food, stuff that was good reheated, and it really helped us get through the grief and funeral preparations.

Was almost thinking about making those rolls he really likes before heading out.

Might be a little too soon, I’m guessing nobody is in the mood for food just yet.

But later, absolutely. We still talk about the tortilla soup my cousin made that week and claimed he “just threw some stuff together”. Sure he did.

Sorry you're all going through this. It's always tough, and the things they'll miss and the, "what could have beens," are one of the hardest parts. (And remember to take care of yourself through this while you're taking care of them as well.)

Getting hammered. I've been watching cams of the swell too. A few spots where I used to live in southern CA were massive the last few days. I only ever experienced one bad storm all the years I lived there...but it was enough to make the manhole covers blow off haha.

@Kwikvette Sorry to hear about the loss of your FIL. It is always a tough deal to lose someone you care deeply about. Hang in there.

Yeah it's always a double edged sword. Wreaks havoc but also you don't get that many storms in your life that produce clean, big days to surf. This Ventura clip is wild too

The ratchets look like snap on for sure. The sockets look more like mac stuff. Either way, they seem good. Haven't tried yet but I prices a set of deep wall 3/8 from snap on and they were $600 i think. $50 for icon. Let me think about that one.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I'm still running an old $9.99 set of Pittsburgh 1/2 drives and they haven't exploded from impact use yet lol

Nice tools are for the you who works at a dealership and has the box all organized and nice and shit. Snap on would cry and send me a harbor freight gift certificate if they saw me in action.

That is the nice thing about snap on. I dont give a fuck about using my chrome sockets on impact. In fact, I broke my 19mm cause its the only one that fits in my wheel. But just get a new one. They are just comical now with their pricing. Ill buy used but thats it now. Prob just switch to icon.

My sockets sets are so mixed up even I don't know what came from what brand anymore. I keep telling myself to get a nice rolling chest setup and organize them in drawers.
When I go on a trip, I just throw my "mixed bag," in the truck. It weighs a ton but at least I know everything is in there....you just gotta root through all the shit to find what you need haha. Masochism...check.

    Back down to one vehicle:
