Clearly you are a naïve and can do nothing but parrot the negative points of others. Come on man, evolve.

    Huh?

I was literally agreeing with your post by making a sarcastic joke. Sorry I didn’t put a /s at the end of it, I figured it would be entirely apparent.

Half truths huh? lol! That only shows your extensive knowledge (sarcasm detected) or stake in the game. But you can save that for people who buy these things and loose half their value once it hits the magical 80-100ks.

Or perhaps you can convince Scotty with over 45yrs experience working in the industry to see things the way you want us to

    Have a nice day!

    Curious about the bed dimensions.
Will those of us with SB/LB's be able to move our wedge campers over to the 4th gen?

Interesting, the cooling on the turbo is closed loop with the intercooler, so its separate from the engine water pump and cooling. Never bothered to look it up but all Toyotas do this now. Tundra included.

I can only speculate and can't share my info directly.

I will be helping with 4th gen info when they are released and will help settle the members in.

Big thing I want to encourage is disabling the auto parking brake, and for new maintenance: removing and cleaning the ventilation case/pcv system over time.

I have limited experience with the NX engine but really enjoy it in the highlander, hope this is a good move long term.

Most people just repeat what someone else said because the old ways are better and more manly.

I’m sure they think muskets are also better for war.

Toyota hasn't changed the bed dimensions since 2005, you should be ok.

From what I’ve read the changes are with the tailgate/bed fit design and wheel well placement.

Yep I'm sure it will, but.... when you start putting that much pressure in an engine, you shorten service intervals on all associated fluids and accelerate wear on all rotating assemblies. Next question? How tight are you going to have to wind the clock to get that performance? You over wind a clock enough it tends to pop a spring pretty quick.

Don't get me wrong I love the turbo in the correct application, but when you use the turbo on a smaller engine to make up for the displacement that has been taken away the only thing that is happening is your are putting larger stresses on smaller components to maintain equal or only slightly better performance. Thats my while gripe in the whole debate. I love 4 bangers in the correct application, but there is also the need for v6 and v8 engines as in trucks, busses and SUV's. When the Tacoma was alot smaller the 4 banger was a good choice, but now the Tacoma is the same size as an 85 full size ford. O don't ever recall a 4 banger in those trucks, but I could be dead wrong. Just ask my wife!

Please provide any supporting evidence of this. The fact is, gasoline engines have been using turbocharging as a means of increasing power for decades, and I do not believe there is a shred of evidence to support a well designed turbocharged engine will not last as long as an equally well designed normally aspirated engine.

That video is from 5 years ago, that's quite a while ago. Also the vehicle is a ford focus, which isn't the most reliable vehicle turbocharger or not.

Well the 2nd gen tacoma had the 4.0 v6, the new 3rd gen which weighs more went to a smaller 3.5 v6 engine...so isn't it the same idea? I'd rather have the low end torque of a turbo compared to a smaller naturally aspirated v6.
