thanks guys. looks too high for me and may not work on 2nd gen anyways. I think I'll try to figure out some kind of spacer for my short CBI rack.

Have this rack and really like it. Total work horse. This is with a 3 person RTT mounted up to it. Definitely not extendable as is. Maybe they sell a kit for it or something? Never heard of that though

I now have prinsu camper shell rack jerryrigged to it so that I could attach my awning to it simultaneously

Bert could you show me the bevel you made? I bought all of the tools and watched a video where a guy had to clang it in past the needle bearing and figured it could be modified. It looked really sketchy hammering that thing in there.

When beveled, it should drop right in.

Just remove a little at a time... don't go crazy, as it only takes a little bit.

And I was given bad information- this is ONLY for the short bed. The long bed is a different part number all together. Sorry for any confusion

If anyone has a needle bearing tool I am in need of one.

If not I'll likely make one. I split time between Eumclaw and MA. When I'm here I have a small gararge, but it seems to have most tools I need. Happy to help anyone in the area. If you need mountainbike help I think I have almost everything.

Replacing the lower spherical bushings/bearings on my ADS coilovers next weekend (1/14) have the kit supplied from 303 shock services. I will hav the c/o off the truck. May need a shop press, assuming a 10 ton should be more than enough. Anyone near the Kirkland area have one for use ? Or any other tips on methods to press in/out the bearings. I do have a small vise but don’t know if that is enough. TIA

Remove the snap rings from both sides, find a socket that is almost as big as the bearing, support the lower portion of the coilover (by the bearing) with a 2x4, grab a big hammer and get to whacking. Easy peasy no shop or press needed. Install is just as easy using the same process.

I just did my ADS bearings a few months back so I know this method works well.

I have one and am Eugene if you want me to mail it to you. I’m yet to find time to do my install, so if you want to borrow my kit just send it back whenever. I have the other install tools as well.

If anyone in the Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula area needs an ECGS bearing puller I have one. I'm not here a lot so shoot me a text if you need it instead of PM'ing me.

High all, I am looking for a transmission jack. I am in Enumclaw and can swing by to pick it up. My guess is I would need it for about a week because its my first time pulling a transmission. Full disclosure it will be used on my ford... because the tacoma I have is bulletproof.

Not necessary, but an impact wrench would also be super helpful.
