Oil change @ 1.2k miles. Can’t really see any metals on the filter but I saw speckles of metal on the drain pan. Glad I did oil change at around 1k miles. Will do again at 5k.

Drove 0-600+ miles city/freeway for about 40 minutes a day. Then at 650mi, drove 3 hours out then had some downtime then drove back 3 hours. Then maybe drive another 100 miles city/freeway. Then oil change.

Finally got my TE wheels on today. The shop that swapped the wheels had a set of Falken Wildpeaks in 265/75/16, I counted to 5 and walked to Sonic to avoid asking how much they wanted for them.

Any concern with water getting in the engine bay? Especially in WA.

Awesome. I'm using Yota out of Waco. Mine is stock so normal sounds like the right setting. Thanks.

I have been doing plugs for 25 years, with a safety seal kit, you got to have quality plugs, most of the time you can do it on the car

Got rid of the 6" lift that came with the truck, welded in a new subframe and went with the dobinson MRR extended travel front with 354 springs along with the dobinson MRR LT rear shock:) a ton of work but glad it all worked out.

At first, yeah. But only if it's parked outside in rain or snow but:
    1. It's a TRD off road. It should be able to handle some water in there
    2. I park in the garage at home
    3. I live in the desert part of the state so winter is the only wet season I need to think about
    4. The main concern was the supercharger drive pulley since its right below the louver, so I designed and printed a cover using Carbon Fiber Nylon.
    5. I do avoid automatic car washes now. I still use a pressure hose, but I don't spray directly down in. Water still gets in, but again.. its just water.

My MPG has dropped this winter, but I believe that's due to the supercharger and the tune. Colder air + supercharger = ECU dumping in more boom juice.

The hood was reduced by less than a pound or two.

The increased airflow is supposed to help the engine and supercharger radiators dissipate heat quicker

No, because engines are sealed. Air draws from inside the fender.

The louvers are for heat extraction, not air intake.
