2023 sr tacoma double cab 6 cyl 4x2

is this a thing? i’m having a heck of a time trying to getting msrp pricing on it

 

According to Toyota's website, the combo that you want isn't available. If you want the V6 (for the SR trim only), you HAVE to get the 4whl drive option:



If you search for an SR5 model, you can get that option:

 

why couldn’t the handful of dealerships i’ve talked to just tell me that?

 

they either can't keep/catch up with all the models and trims, or they just want to sell another vehicle so darn bad, they just give you the "yeah yeah" and think they can get anything.

GL on your search, you are probably going to have to get a higher trim ,,, they know what they are doing

 

thanks, looks like the sr 4x4 is about the same price as a sr5 4x2 so i’m thinking i’m just gonna stay with the sr

 

You don’t want the 2.7 motor? If you go with an access cab, I think you get the 6’ bed. Are you pulling anything with the truck? I’m just thinking if you can find any 2.7 automatic I’d be buying it

i know tacomas hold their resale very well, but what i’m worried about is are the pricing and eve gonna go down again? i don’t want to buy high and then a few years later a $36k truck in 2023 you can buy now for $30k

 

from my research i’ve gathered that if you’re doing a double cab (which i definitely want) then it’s better to go with the bigger engine. not going to be pulling anything

 

In the history of world, when prices go up, they never go back down. It's an extremely rare thing when/if this happens. Chances are, the prices are here to stay. Oh, and while you're at it, DO NOT get a white truck.

 

white is definitely a hard no for me. stuck on black for right now

 

Not sure where you’re located but there are 39 black SR5 V6 2 wheel drives out there. Places in California are advertising $34k selling price on a $36k MSRP truck. Here’s one at MSRP for just a bit more than $35k. If you’re set on 2 wheel drive.

Well if you want a V6 you’ll need a SR5. Otherwise go 4 banger for SR

 

i’ve heard if you want double cab, it’s best to do the bigger engine

 

I guess it depends how much of a hurry you’re in
