I was surprised to see them still on the shelves! It seems like the other Applejack locations have getting the better bottles lately.

The other ones I’d be really interested in would be any with the “O” yeast strain.

Did some hunting today in Arizona. Amazed how cheap Angels Envy Rye is here. $60.
Also snagged a Weller Full Proof for a bit more than I probably should have, but you only live once right?

The place we went also had an EH Taylor Warehouse C for $3,500

Maybe? Hard to find information on what’s different…but the packaging is seemingly identical except for dropping the Jr. I also had trouble finding it on BT’s website, weird. But it’s the Nov 22 release, so theoretically Batch 18.

Too steep for me, I’d rather drink two Rare Breeds for $110 (if staying with barrel proof stuff)
I like bookers, I like the little story that comes with each batch, but I don’t like that they raise their prices by ~$20 every year

Im tempted to take the plunge since it’s something I’ve never had but would be more apt to be like one and done at that price. I get it though, always tough figuring how much I’m willing to spend on something I’ve never had yet but been chasing a while

Depending where you are in Jersey it should be pretty easy to find a bar with a few variations of Bookers so you can decide if it's worth spending the money. I saw some in New Hope.

I'm with @MattJakobs that two bottles of rare breed or Kentucky's finest would be more enjoyable to me than the Bookers I've had.

I have a bottle of that 291 rye that I bought in Colorado before I moved 4 years ago and still haven't opened it haha. At the time it was the most expensive bottle I had bought and didn't want to open it. Maybe this is a sign to pop the cork!

You want a sample? I’ve got an open bottle. Forget which one and I’m too lazy to walk upstairs right now but I’ll send you a sample

Tried them both last night…the Basil Hadens rye was more to my liking. The 291 kinda has a finish like straight grain alcohol…supposedly an award winner….but didn’t pass my test
