What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I’m planning on getting a pretacoma mount for the other side since they’re opposite.

 

Positive you don't have a rogue needle stopping the cap?

 

What bs wheels are you running? Shouldn't run into too much issue with the smaller diameter 5100 shock

 

Progress has been made

 

LT and wheel spacers

 

I have the FJ 16” trail team wheels. I can’t remember the backspacing on them, but I’m also running 255/85s and 1.25” wheel spacers

 

I wasn't sure I'd be off the UCAs with 4.75 back space. I have 1.5 inch to the UCA, with 1.25 wheel spacers. So the spacers will be coming off.

But that's a project for another day. It's done.

 

I knew something was broken with all the noise the t-case has been making lately, but damn... Definitely puts a pause on the truck again, but here's hoping parts are available when I look into ordering everything tomorrow.

It's the coupler inside the dual case setup I have. Needle bearing welded itself to the coupler. Both have been sufficiently fucked and both need to be replaced unfortunately.

 

Oh, I know what it is... thinga-ma-widgy is just the more sophisticated name for it.

I have a backup plan if I can't get parts. Lets first hope for a slightly more friendly day on my wallet tomorrow.

I'll probably spend as much on parts this winter as I did on the truck, when I bought it.

 

Well between the long travel, a blown head gasket that resulting a basically a completely new motor with all new OE parts, and now a possible Atlas 4 speed purchase... yeah not super thrilled with the amount of money I've spent, but shit happens.

I'll definitely be at KoH this year. If I have to run just the stock t-case to make it, I will.
