Speculation by the dealer and they wanted to keep it longer, but didn't have any 4WD truck loaners. Told them "I brought you a damn 4WD truck, I need one to get around in". Not really needing one to get around in, but I was kinda still pissed after they got my truck greasy and oily last time. Got to take it back here sometime soon. Butt, they're a bunch of baffoons so I might take it to another one.

If they give you a 2wd loaner, drive it like a loaner. You'll make it up that hill you're so scared of with enough skinny pedal. Might take you all three lanes, but it'll get there.

They were trying to give me a fuckin' Corolla. Like, the fuck you are!

I'm probably sounding ungrateful, but yea. Guess if it snows I can take the Subie, but the point is I brought them a truck, there's a reason I have a truck.

You have the Subawu. Just park the loaner when it snows and take the Subie.

I'm with the squirtle on this one. Leave them the Tacoma and make them eat the cost, don't give them a reason to deny fixing it.

Edit: also have you looked at the interior of your truck? It's pretty much a corolla anyways!

And that’s why no one should get loaners.
Because it’s not yours you have the gall to ruin someone else’s vehicle.
And you want exactly what you have..

When I had my gmc I had a few things needed to be done.
They didn’t have official loaners. They new I needed a ride. No one available. I asked if there was something I could I use cause I didn’t want to call carol if I didn’t have to.
I told them I didn’t care what it was. They only had a truck that hadn’t gone through the shop yet.
I said sure. It ran on 7 1/2 cylinders. Had a hole in the floorboard, and vibrated over 40.
It got me home, to work, and back to the dealer. AND I WAS THANKFUL.
I treated it like it was mine. I filled the tires and added a couple of quarts of oil.
They asked how it went. I told them it reminded me of my friends field truck.
We had a good laugh. They took 20 bucks off my step and tow bumper.
Years ago, i wouldn’t of hesitated to buy a loaner vehicle. Now, I wouldn’t even think about it.

I do enjoy the car-like interior, don't get me wrong. 2nd gen may be the "best" gen, but after owning two of them the 3rd gen is far better in interior comfort and arrangement. Put the 4.0L and 5 speed automatic in my truck and it would be a match made in Heaven!

Apparently karma didn't appreciate me shitting on the turd gen last night. A slight incident with a rav4 just set me back 1800 to get this fixed.

Hmmm. :annoyed: That's what I get for ordering a "fancy" 2 inch thick insulated door with glass. The 1-3/8" coulda been delivered in a month, but it was flimsy IMO.

Yeah I didn't want the glass, and it's 2inch thick still so high insulation rating

Now that I think on it, mine was a special size too. Coming in at 6'9" (I know, I know...) and I wanted torsion spring setup for a side mount opener. Reminds me I need to have them come back out and do some adjustments...

Yeah, unfortunately they can't reuse my existing rails so the only thing that would get reused is the opener itself.
