You have enlightened me to a flaw, ...yea, I automatically and incorrectly assume any mention or reference to a 'female' poster
is because someone disparages anything female-auto related. I have been conditioned by past experiences and I should not

Haha ,sorry guys , I wasnt trying to be a pig lol .
When a female brings in a vehicle to have it diagnosed , dealerships think they can tell them anything and they will beleive it .
At the shop, I always drag the customer to the assembly bench , male or female and give them the best explanation possible . A show and tell if you will so they understand what happened , why it happened and whats involved in fixing it so it doesnt happen again
Chances are the guy at the front counter passing on the information to her used his own words and knows very little about transmissions .

 

It don't matter if you are female or male just being a Tacoma owner is all we want to know when you come here on TW.

 

and for those of us who need specialist to fix certain problems its appreciated when we get that type of service.
