I’ve made it my life’s mission to spread word on this unit. I do want to say I’m running the latest firmware, I’ve tried contacting pioneer with no luck, and over all I think for $1300 this head unit should perform flawlessly.
-The OS on it is very laggy for starters.
-The wired car play is a bit buggy. It usually takes a couple of tries to get a solid connection. Seeing the connection failed message when the car is started gives me trauma.
-WiFi car play is generally very reliable. It does occasionally start cutting in and out
-GPS is extremely inaccurate even with good antenna placement. Sadly car play forces you to use it over the phones GPS. This is such a terrible issue that I haven’t used car play for months now. There is a recalibration setting and for a while after it’s good but let’s be realistic, recalibrating the GPS every other day wasn’t on my agenda when I bought this thing.

The head unit sounds amazing. But obviously car play was a major feature. And more specifically I skipped over the $400-$700 head units for a reason. I wanted something refined. This thing is a total flop. Get another unit

I agree with all you've said. Funny enought I was in the city at a Devils vs Rangers game and was using the GPS going to and leaving. It was off by a lot and I didn't understand what was happening until I read your thread lol.
