Anyone interested in a front diff with 4.56 gears and a virtually new ARB?

I am thinking of pulling the ARB out, since it does not see a lot use.

 

This was about 2 years ago when I called to enquire, but it was Lilburn Auto in Lilburn down the street from me.

I have my wife's 4runner lift sitting in my garage with unassembled struts and I'll be using the vehicle weight method for hers when I find the time to install.

I might be interested in the ARB awning. Is there any way to mount it without a roof rack? Trying to keep the height down for occasional trips where the roof is lower. Also, even though roof racks look badass, the sleek look of no roof rack is nice as well.

Yeah but when you need it?! It would be one thing if you had ATRAC but without it, and in certain situations a locker is the only thing that is gonna give you the bite you need.

 

I have the desire, but not the budget at the moment. But I'll inquire anyway....

What brand gears? ECGS full swap or did you have the gears installed? Are you wanting the front diff from the buyer's truck? and most importantly, how much?

Do you not like the 4.56 gearing for some reason? Seems you would have installed that ratio to compensate for larger tires and the ARB would just be the gravy on the diff. I'm intrigued as to why you are taking them out.

 

I have a TrueTrac in the rear, am thinking about swapping the ARB for a limited slip up front.

On my Ranger, I ran dual limited slips, and was quite happy with the performance.

4.56 gears are great. I run 285/75-16 tires, and the combo works really well - even towing.

It was a full ECGS swap, and has had the fluid changed regularly. No issues whatsoever.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to swap diffs - at least in my mind.

As for the price, I hadn't thought much about it yet. I was looking to see if there was any interest first.

 

haha, that's one of those lessons it only takes one time to learn it.

 

I got a set too if you want them. They are 2.5 gen though.

 

Hmmmm, I have an ECGS swapped front diff with 4.56 gears and no ARB in my FJ. I hadn't considered an air locker but already have the ARB compressor. I could possibly be persuaded.

 

This has been on my to-do list for a few years now, but the stock 3.73 has been doing fine....just feels a little lacking in power. Since I hardly drive the truck anymore, it gets pushed lower and lower on my priority list.

 

ARB awning sold just have the Rtt/annex for 900

 

Anyone have any interest in a Gen 2 TRD exhaust?

I've gone back and forth on this one in my head a few times.

On the one hand, I feel like my truck lacks acceleration and anything to increase efficiency might be worth it. On the other hand, I love not hearing the exhaust, so I fear that any gains are not worth it. Why are you selling? How long did you own/run it? Did it come on the truck or did you purchase aftermarket and decide you didn't like it?

 

I just purchased the truck two weeks ago. 15 with 45k miles. It was on when I got it. He still had the OEM exhaust and I swapped out this weekend. My other 15 has the stock and I like the sound better. Should be a great exhaust for someone wanting one.

 

I have the trd exhaust and you honestly don't hear it like some obnoxious loud noise.. I installed a S&B cold air intake and it definitely made exhaust louder.. so I'd say if you have stock air box hardly any noise..
