    that’ll work!

Think the first thing I’m going to be powder coating are the engine brackets for the Datsun

I finished stripping the donor block yesterday! I was getting the powdercoat system ready so I can do the valve cover and brackets and such.

Very impressed how well the enamel on the block has held up for being as old as it is.

The one and only time I’ve ever used the winch on my truck was to pull the Datsun onto the trailer since the rear right drum was seized. Realized after about 5 feet of pulling I probably should turn the engine on before I sent the battery prematurely to it’s grave.

Only spent a little bit of time, mainly to go back to spend time with Steph but I'm happy with the size of this thing!

Kind of awkward to assemble by myself, luckily I have a pipe jack

Maybe today will be the day where I figure out how to slap someone through Teams.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Teams is a pain in the dick and Microsoft pushes it so hard. We block it and all it's notifications with group policy, it's so damn annoying.

Yeah I hate it. It tries to be all things to everyone and is actually a buggy incomplete memory hog.

The mobile version is even worse. All the chat apps do better notifications than teams and outlook. Teams will notify I have a message but won’t display it in the chat until I look at another conversation and come back.

Modern tech tools make me want to take up fabrication full time.

Most trailers i'v used that have winches have a battery box for the winch.
The last parts truck I got I borrowed Jason's (moderator) trailer. It does not have a winch but we got lucky the place had a bobcat that did the trick.
Point being a winch on a trailer is a must.

I wonder where it started. Some of the wiring people do is a little scary.

well I won the memory card lottery apparently, accidentally pulled it out without ejecting it and the thing now can't be read by the card reader. And I hadn't pulled the images off it yet :bananadead:

Of the 100s of times I've done this, that stupid little warning that pops up finally came true

apparently it's not totally corrupt because the camera still recognizes the files, but all 3 card readers I have won't. Guess I'll see if I can connect the camera to the computer directly and pull them that way.
