I just received my Auxbeam unit. What tray are you using to mount the unit in the engine bay? Any problems/suggestions overall? Thanks

It's one of those things where, once you see it, you can't unsee it. :burp:

    See my previous response above.

This tray does not allow much room to pop off the fuse box lid below. Also there have been reported issues of the edges fraying the wires at the master cylinder. I believe a new version has been made to address this. Regarding the Auxbeam unit itself, the only issue so far is I have trouble getting the lid to latch.

I don't know if I would bother to do it on my truck, but I really love this, and I love that you went to so much trouble for something so subtle. It's rare to see something this unique AND this subtle on this thread.

This is exactly what I want, where did you get the metal strips? Did you need to cut them or just drill and paint?

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
How do you like that tonneau cover, I'm thinking of getting that brand, are you happy with it?

I went with the cheaper, electric version. Just wish there was a good way to mount it in the bed.

I agree my 22 is slow off the line for a couple of seconds but then it kicks in and if not careful I can easily exceed 110 KM in very short order

    I like that.

Been thinking of having something like this also, not so much for showers (that could be useful too and probably used if needed) but beach and hunting trips mainly.

Yup, I went with the Weekender and wife was a bit pissed at the cost, until our first trip to the beach. i was able to shower everyone off, all the gear, and we had a nice clean drive home. She was sold after that.

Took me a bit longer than anticipated, but I finally got my wheels and tires on. Wheels are 17x8.5 et 0 and the tires are 265 70/17's. Stock suspension. The only rubbing was on the air dam, just barely, so I ended up pulling it off.

after using my waterport GO, i'd prefer an electric one. How do you like this? is it easy to carry around?

Its pretty nice, the hose it comes with is a bit trash but still works.
I like that I can run it on the 20v battery or plug it into the 12v outlet in the dash. Has a 5 gallon tank, so just enough to wash everyone's feet and all the kayaks.
This summer I am going to try to build a frame for it to latch to in the bed. I have just been ratchet strapping it down, but its not a good method to hold it in place. Its very top heavy because of the design so it falls over when turning.

As for picking it up, the handle is big and comfortable, not alot of extra weight to it either.

I Would describe as “Good for the Money”. Works for my trail edition which has less room in the bed / rail system. I made a classic mistake though. they had sent brackets with certain number of washers on each based on location and I decided to evenly distribute them not realizing it was done on purpose. Took me forever to figure out why it wasn’t aligning perfectly. Once I corrected, it was fine. I did make some further adjustments to reduce noise and prompt rain run off. But again, for the price and fit for trail edition (which was harder to find), perfectly “fine” for the money.

I have no reason to replace or believe anything in the price range is wildly better
