These are supposed to be 8.85” from my understanding. They measure around 8.5” from the top of the nut (which is more or less flush with the bolt) to the bottom most portion of the “U”. A6BC2F64-F2CF-44F2-9970-6A4402C1E833.jpg615EBAE5-DBE8-46C1-8003-521E7818C3C0.jpg

Interesting. Something doesn't seem right. Below is a Deaver stage 3, which is .25" thicker with the extra leaf. These u-bolts are 8.5" long just like ours and as you can see there is still thread showing. There is no lift block or anything like that under the leaf pack is there?

    No blocks or anything.

I’m stumped. Other people seem to think it’s fine and that I may end up getting more threads showing when I hit my re torque mileage.

I have oem shackles and hangers for the leaf springs. I’m not sure if that makes a difference in the way everything sits. I’m just throwing out ideas. I also hand tightened the U bolts while the rear end of the truck was lifted and then torqued down while the truck was back on level ground under its own weight (torqued in cross pattern).

I think you should be fine. I wouldn't expect to gain many more threads with a re-torque. Where did you purchase the u-bolts from?

So our 8.5" u-bolts are measured to the inside of the u-bolt, not outer edge. With the way you have the tape measurer and conflicting info on durobumps website, it makes me think you have 7.75" u-bolts.

I bet they are 7.75". I'll have to try to remeasure them. Would you feel comfortable with 7.75" bolts torqued to 90 ft-lbs? Does the shorter length compromise the strength of the bolt paired with Deaver stage II and moderate off road use?

Thanks for reaching out and helping by the way, I appreciate it. I bought these from R4T as part of a Fox suspension kit.

Honestly I think they would be fine as is. With our shortest bump stop spacer, we require you to trim them really low, similar to how you have yours. Like everyone has mentioned, I would just keep an eye on it and re torque as often as you want, to be safe. No need to wait for that 500 mile mark.

    8 leafs(Accu's pic) vs 9 leafs (OP's pic)?

    Only thing I could see.

both are 9. Think we have this more or less figured out with the OP getting shorted U-Bolts.
