@PennSilverTaco That GF's Dad used to constantly start arguments with me for driving my Golf even though it was built in Pennsylvania. Then my GFs Sister brought a guy home that drove a Honda Accord so then his anger was directed at that dude.

 

Who the fuck cares what somebody drives? I can't weight until the generation that thinks it is somehow more patriotic to buy an American vehicle dies off...

That whole thing might have been true long ago but it lost steam decades back.

 

This was about 30 years ago, the K car talk has me wondering what engine was in his LeBaron, would have be ironic if it had Mitsubishi.

 

Some Mazda pickups had that same Mitsubishi 2.6L from 1987 until 1989, specifically the B2600; 1990-1993 models had a fuel injected 2.6L Mazda-built engine...

 

There was alot of engine and transmission sharing between manufacturers over the years.

I keep meaning to ask..I remember you did the headlight swap a while ago. Did you use the regular bulbs or add LED/HID bulbs?

And how are they so far?

 

They came with light bulbs, and they're great in terms of light, but one has a leak that's letting moisture in...

 

Given the current price of a gallon of gas, this is probably the only vehicle on Peruzzi's lot that you'd have any ability to negotiate on!

I saw another potental gem on the wholesale lot at CarShop on Sunday. This is a 2005 Ford Excursion XLT 2WD! Excursions still enjoy a remarkable survival rate, but around here the 4WD models are more popular for obvious reasons. Also, the PowerStroke diesels models (especially the 7.3L models that were made from 2000 through the first half of 2003) are by far the most popular, followed by the gas 6.8L V10 models. This one, based on its lack of badging, has the standard gas 5.4L V8. This one is in okay condition, but like the Sequoia, probably ended up on the wholesale lot due to age...
