If you're making one, here are some things to consider:

4x innovations has really nice DIY parts - Don't skimp on the bearings or latches. Those nifty "HD" latches on Amazon won't cut it.

Do not underestimate the dynamic forces of the tire moving around on the highway. This is a two-fold thing. First, WAY back in the day a very reputable socal shop built a swing out using a bearing available at the time and an ultimately questionable attachment method, and within a month that swing out broke off on the freeway. My first design (bolted in place of the tailgate) also failed (luckily on the trail) and I had to go back to the drawing board. There is a ton of force on the attachment/bearing- so make sure it's way stronger than you think. Second, you'll need to reinforce the rear frame sections. Add the plate kits (trail gear, or all pro sell them, other do as well, or if you have access to a laser cutter or service, etc..). I took advantage of the extra space from relocating the spare by doing a shock relocation and added another cross member as well and tied that into the extra plating. The spare tire bucking up and down on the freeway really does a number back there once you get the weight of the wheel and tire at the end of the bumper (lever).

The 4x latch is very beefy. Replacing the Southco latch from my bruteforcefab swing out soon
