Dear Toyota, please keep lots of chrome on the 4th gen. Lots and lots of chrome. Bring back the chrome grille while you’re at it.

Turbo hybrid sounds awesome. People forget that Toyota invented hybrid tech. Every taxi I see is a Prius with 500 000 miles on the original drivetrain. And Toyota is no stranger to turbos.

Plus disc brakes all around, coil spring suspension all around. Boxed frame.

I would like a nice stout 2.4 turbo from Toyota...... with a manual trans.

Toyota offered it in the 80's in these trucks. 22R-TE. Same displacement as is being proposed. Engine was well loved, maybe it's coming full circle.

Nope... Just take the cap off, stretch the lanyard and it hooks perfectly in the gas cap latch. As designed.

You are so wrong. They give the buyers exactly what they want which is why they are so popular. Tacoma World is not the buying demographic. We are a fringe group. Normal people get what they want and Toyota makes them happy.
You wanna sell a hundred or a million? I would rather piss off a hundred and sell a million versus the other way around.

I remember seeing those folks who had ashtrays in their vehicles. Their left hand and a cigarette hanging just outside of the driver’s side window to avoid using the ashtray and to be able to say when they sold their car or truck in the future that it was never smoked in.

    Rarely see that anymore.

If Toyota sticks with the same “Over built and Underpowered”
We are going to need no less than an 8 speed transmission.

If we’re going back to a 4 cyl.
Why not go back to an in-line 6:D

Lets not get upset about something that hasn't even been released yet! I'm sure it will be just fine, maybe even improve on some things. From what I know, each generation of tacoma has its ups & downs, and I don't think the 4th will be any different. Stay healthy my dudes, and I wish you all a high mpg year.
