I really wish I had recorded my tracks on Navionics. I'm just ballparking it. But, it's easily the most I've ever paddled in a day, aside from on the river. But, I have help from the current there.

This was one of the best days I've ever had on the kayak!

I kinda felt like a dick posting the pictures.

    But, definitely not my intention.

I'm just so glad I finally went and checked out those Islands! I have a habit of saying that I want to do this or that and never doing it. It's nice to follow through with something, and then to have it be a productive day is just a bonus. :)

Never feel bad! The forums are all about sharing adventures and experiences! I know what you mean about saying you want to do something but never getting around to it.

I just took a picture and kept moving. Maybe I should have checked it out. Maybe next time.

    Haha!

It's weird, though. There are sunken boats on normal years, too. There's definitely more than normal this year, though!

Some we know are new because they're in spots we regularly visit every winter. Otherwise, I don't think I've seen any wrecks that looked like they were very old.

This would be a great project for someone looking for a houseboat:

Do you know where in MN? I get up through Rhinelander quite a bit and might be able to deliver depending on where in MN as I live in Eau Claire County.

I'm not sure. But, there's a salvage yard on Burnt Store road with a bunch of boats for auction with varying degrees of damage. I'm thinking it will end up in something like that.

Living on a houseboat would be awesome!

Copy. I might be getting up there next weekend and if I have room I would be willing to transport to EC and then Mayo Clinic City as that’s a short drive from me (if that works)

Communication with him is understandably sparse, still playing everything by ear until I'm able to contact him again. I will definitely let you know if anything changes.

Message to the red tool aficionados.

I'll be dipping into the Milwaukee line of tools this year, likely towards Memorial Day sales, and I've been researching m12 vs m18 vs fuel. Anyone have suggestions or preferences on which line to go into? Specifically looking to start with the ratchets and compact impacts.
