Running injector cleaner and trying to make the warning light come on before I refuel...

 

It says to add to a nearly empty tank; I wasn't able to make the light come on before I ave up and refueled...

I think it's telling you to add at your fill up close to empty, that way you get the full effect of running the treated fuel until the next following fill.

 

I was letting it run down to almost empty, adding the treatment, and then refueling...

My "parts car" arrived yesterday!

 

For those of you just tuning in, the black one belonged to a good friend of mine who passed away suddenly back in August, and has a couple of very minor cosmetic issues.

 

The green one is missing some parts, and I purchased it on Etsy for twenty bucks to use for parts. In mint condition, this exact Burago model 1961 Porsche 356b is going for anywhere from $60 to $150, so I'd say $20 is a reasonable price to repair another model that I got for free from the widow of a deceased friend!

This was what broke on Jim's model...

 

The little tab that holds the spare tire in also broke on Jim's, but this wasn't worth addressing in my opinion. It's one large part. The one from Jim's car can be seen in the first picture, and the one from the donor car can be seen in the second picture...

 

Getting the steering linkage hooked up was a pain in the ass!

Ah the Dodge Dart, this is what you get when you walk into the dealer with no down payment and a credit score so bad you couldn't finance the steam off a hot dog.

 

If something happened to my truck, and this was a stick shift, I'd buy it...



However, I could pay cash for this with the insurance money I got from my truck, and I have good enough credit (766 last time I checked) so I could finance something a lot nicer! If I had to finance a car, I'd take a Corolla before I bought anything made in America!
