Yep, after looking over a buddies 2019 bed that had no mat, i couldn't believe he didn't have one by now. I ordered my 2020 taco with one. I guess he tried to get one after having the truck awhile, but said the prices were insane, let alone the shipping cost. I helped him find a gator mat for under $100 with shipping. It was a nice mat every bit as good as the oem one that says tacoma on it.

Unfortunately they don't even list a bed mat.

I've had my OEM mat for 12+ years. While it still reduces things sliding around, over time it is getting slicker. I have drilled a hole in the middle at the top through the mat and bed and inserted a stainless bolt, upper washer washer, lower washer, and wing nut. I did this because the blower in the car wash sometimes threw it out of the bed. Without tying it down it was nice in a snow storm to pull the mat with all the snow out then throw the mat back in.

So, did you buy it from PrestigeToyota in NY?

If the ship-code was automatically added, that is cool!

Glad you did some research on TW.

I've been eyeing up the TRD Cold Air Intake that's being debated on another thread. (It's all about aesthetics for me)

PrestigeToyota has it for $403.75 (MSRP $475), my Supply contact says wait until Apr-Jun for sale--it would have to be lower than BochToyota's for sure.

BochToyota in MA has it for $345.60 (MSRP $475) before the 5% discount code from that YouTuber dude.

    $17.54 estimated 5% discount: $345.60 - $17.54 = $328.06 + $22.60 (Ship)= $350.66

I'll have to see if I have $350 lying around...wife won't like it but, hey! It's my truck!!! lol

I lucked out. When I found my truck on the dealer’s lot it had the mat as an option.

One contrary opinion here, I think it's not grippy enough. I carry equipment for work and the heavy plastic tubs slide around like mofos. I've considered getting cargo bars (expensive) or tying down the tubs each trip. It happens on any hill and any semi-harsh braking, and I am easy on my brakes. I wish it was stickier, but I can't say the competition is better. The mat is def thick and quality.

They're good as long as you don't mind if it smells like shit. I leave mine on out until I have need for it. Otherwise every time I open my bed (also have tonneau) it reeks of rubber. Most people don't mind, but that's me.

    Buahahahaha!

I remember someone complaining about the rubber smell a while ago (not you).

My bed is open so the smell dissipated after several months. It would be very noticeable when I opened the rear sliding window.

Had I bought and installed a tonneau cover, I'd imagine the smell would have taken longer to go away.

BTW, mine doesn't smell of rubber any more but it's been over a year!

What I’ve learned from this thread is when my bed mat arrives, drive with my cover open for a while lol

I just picked one up for $135 from Carlock Toyota in MS (https://parts.carlocktoyotaoftupelo.com/), with free shipping using the FREESHIP code. I found a few for as low as $130, but they added tax and Carlock didn't, so it ended up being the cheapest I found.

I'm kind of amazed that they offer free shipping on these things; without the promo code shipping was over $100. Seems like it'd make more sense to have some sort of dealer exchange where the out of town dealer just buys one from a local dealer for you to pick up, or ships to you for a lower costs.

When its hot in the summer these mats smell pretty bad like being at a tire shop. Its winter now when i open the tailgate from my tonneau cover there's no odor. I think in time it'll go away altogether.

I'm hopeful it'll go away in time. I'd like to keep in there full time, but it's been sitting in the FL sun on a trailer since September and it still has a noticeable smell to it (all be it not nearly as bad as when it was new). Time will tell.

How does a new tire smell amazing and these rubber mats smell like dog poo? They should totally make the mats out of the tire rubber instead of…poo rubber?

It's most likely recycled rubber or blended with something to save cost. It's kind of like when you get something made of cheap rubber from Harbor Freight or one of those horse stall matts.

I’ll add my vote that the OEM bed mat is easily the best day-one upgrade you can give your truck.

I just ordered one from Harr Toyota, small discount and free shipping. Did 3 minutes of searching and it was the best deal a few days ago. Perhaps slightly better ones will pop up, but it was still cheaper than the two closest Toyota dealers would sell one for.
