    image.jpg Hello all,
I have an SR 3rd gen and I have been gifted a set of side mirror turn signals. Has anyone done this install before?

Note: my SR does not have factory signals in the mirrors.

I wouldn't waste my time. They came standard on my truck, and I'm telling you right now you will never even notice you have them. It's not like you can see them from inside the cab, and it doesn't offer a better "look" to your truck either. It's a total non-factor IMO.

People in your blind spot can see the signals, which is what they're there for. Other people. I personally think it looks better.

Hello Brand0nitis , I'm new to the TacomaWorld forum. Were you ever able to do the side-mirror turn signal mod you wanted? I agree it helps for the blind-spot drivers from a safety perspective. I was recently looking at the wiring harness schematic between the SR5 and the Limited Edition, and it seems like the harness plugs are the same, but unsure if it would actually work or not. My other thought was to run a set of turn signal wires from the tow hitch plug, but that would be a long run and a splice job...

@ Caribe makaira -- thanks for your reply. Wow, I see your handmade wiring harness. Right now, not sure that I want to purchase a custom harness kit nor do I want to tear into the dashboard to potentially do that mod, but I appreciate the link on how it works (I've had other vehicles in the past that actually had the wiring already in place for the turn signal electrical connections on the mirror; the manufacturer simply just installed lower-end mirrors to achieve their pricing model)... thanks again

Those are the towing (combined stop & turn) turn signal wires.

Are you going to wire puddles to the dome directly?
What about the reverse circuit? How's that part of the towing mirrors?

It has a ground for the heater and a second ground for the lights but I connected both grounds together, since down here in Florida only get used a couple of months every now and then

Can you access the ground wire to the puddles?

@ecuarodz , for your door signals:
Plug-and-Play Signal Mirror Harness for Base Models
    or this
    upload_2023-1-11_23-18-43.jpg
C10 located behind combination meter (gas, speed, etc.)

For the Puddles, piggie back to the cargo lamp feed. (leaving cargo lamp on DOOR position)
Use posi-tap, dual wire on one side (for L&R puddles) and tap side to lime green wire on IE1_3 connector.
    upload_2023-1-11_13-14-30.jpg
Posi-tap the running light for each side (door connectors)
