Decided to pop this open tonight. Pretty good, but a bit light on the proof for me. I really want to get my hands on the new EHT Straight Rye Barrel Proof, but I'm sure that will not happen.

 

Agree, but if I can get a taste at a reasonable price and don’t love it, it’ll be a good bottle for trading. Secondary market sucks until you’re the one who finds a rare bottle at msrp haha.
I’m hoping my friend that has a hoarder level collection might open one of his. He always ends up with multiples of everything somehow.

 

I do January dry. Every year just because. I miss my nightly pour lol. Oh well, 20 days left and I can indulge again. Cheers

I do the same with February. It helps that it's the shortest month of the year.

I lucked out this year. I got 4 @ 220 and 2 @ 180 . I don’t foresee that luck happening again. 1 went to a buddy and I blew through 2 and a half

pretty certain this would be my “if you could only have one” bourbon

the barrel I have open at the moment is unreal, toss up between that and Rr13

 

Rare Breed is my desert island bourbon.

But this is not far off. Excellent flavor, at least this barrel.
