My knees hurt just looking at the pics.

Down hill ski racing when in my teens killed mine. Got the iron knees now to remind me of my good time younger years...I wouldn't change a thing if I had to do it over again.

Afternoon guys, about 10 below today. Got some sad news this morning, wifes great uncle passed on. He was 89, John was an engineer in the aerospace industry.
As life goes on it becomes more apparent that we are so limited by time.

Thanks, we are doing well. I had typed out 3 paragraphs below that and deleted them...as my post became very political.
John was one of the few people left that i know to be a true American.

At this point i am almost envious of those who are on the next path...i love my life on this earth but it is becoming more difficult to cope with idiocy/idiocracy...
Im no longer participating with a political party. We are not free. We have failed as a people...not just in this nation but across the planet. Now more than ever in my life has this been more evident.
    I refuse to pretend anymore.

Very cool. I use to skateboard years ago but I was more into the longboard. Going down the biggest hills as fast as you can. I still have a few of them but haven’t been on them in many years.

    Very sorry for your loss.

And I'm with you, I stopped voting 5 or 6 years ago (I know that raises a  for some people) but I honestly stopped caring long before that. I'm much more concerned with whomever left ruts in my front yard 2 weeks ago. I'm gonna track them down.:(

Btw, if you haven't given up watching/listening to any news, I strongly recomend it. I'm about 15 years news 'sober' and lovin every minute of it!! No news on tv, no phone alerts; hell, I wont even let the guys at work talk about it around me.

People at work ask me what I think about whatever is in the news, I tell them I don’t know I don’t watch it. The look of shock on their face is priceless! It’s nothing but sad, depressing crap anymore.

Its not just the news...we dont get much for tv signal here. I do see it on utoob. But more so, i feel this way just from being observant of my surroundings. The things people say, the habits they have and the justifications they use.
Please dont take my response as a dismissal of your advice.. I stopped with the news when i stopped backing conservative parties that dont back me. Then i learned that im not a conservative lol. I guess im a moderate? At any rate...im about to sell everything we have and live on a boat. Found a pretty nice 60 footer down in valdez...the ocean terrifies me but its starting to look more appealing every day. Id make a good lovable pirate.

The news is really, really biased.

Just take a small part of all the different versions and try to make an informed decision .

    Do your best .

That’s the other problem with the news, all the celebrity talk and their problems. I don’t give a crap who is divorcing who, or who got a 20 million dollar contract to play a sports game.

I have a friend that kind of lives like this.. he works in the winter for a mine up here as a sonic engineer and the rest of the year he lives on a boat and charters out. He doesnt need to charter but does it to get folks out on the water.
Im thinking of being more of an island hopper... maybe xharter out as a small cruise ship to make ends...or try to just live off rental income but then i still have the responsibility of owning the rentals.

My wife’s birthday was last week and her family visited the evening of her birthday so her “special” haddock birthday dinner happened tonight. She is very giving but not with her haddock dinner!

Here is the proof, 2.25lbs, freshly caught today. Living 10 miles from the Maine coast has its advantages. D0335A69-999C-4683-B80B-34A1CC7D7A5F.jpg
