The thief wont cut thru the middle of a catalytic converter. It protects the pipe in between and the ends of each cat. The pipe from the manifold to the first cat is hard to get to. Plus to cut the front pipe you'll have to cut through O2 mounting boss, requiring a lot longer to cut through if you can access it.

I know of it. Idk why I thought more mario. I didn't play video games. Mario was a plumber now that I recall. ironic. lol

Speaking of dying breeds of vehicles. A guy I know from the place I get steel from has 2 of these del Sol jdm dohc b16’s and an American b16 and the interior is to date if not ahead of its time today from a performance perspective. It’s so clean. Honda knows what’s up.

My supervisor’s ~2018 F-150 had it’s second cam phaser failure in under 100K. Other coworker had a camshaft replaced under warranty on his 2020 Ram at like ~40K.

Crazy hearing them both argue with the dealers about how that shouldn’t be normal and they want it repaired under warranty. The F-150 repair was like $5K with a goodwill credit. Ram was 1K miles away from warranty ending.

What stops you from cutting ahead of the first cat and behind the last cat and just pulling the whole thing out?

Oof. That’s really rough. My friend had an f150 for a few months and traded it in on a rav4 - brand new and all kinds of stupid issues like leaking oil and tailgates that don’t fit.

Manufacturing quality is all over the map these days.

Cut em some slack. They were just trying to repurpose a last gen tailgate and still charge 60k.

I’ve heard even the newer Corollas have build quality issues. Nobody makes cars like the 3rd gen Camry, Volvo 240, and OM617 Mercedes anymore.

I kind of wish we had our Volvo 240 still. Calendar-scale acceleration but it was soils otherwise.

I keep looking at early 2000s xc70s because they were the last ones before Ford bought Volvo, but I suspect they’re not nearly as good.

To make sure the blueberries don't bleed and turn your dough blue as you fold it, lightly sprinkle and cover the berries with flour (from your recipe, don't add any more than what's needed)

Its even worse with heavy equipment. Pretty soon you won't be able to buy a rig without a service contract and they will just shut that bitch down in a field if you don't have it serviced. Thats why im gonna start collecting old CAT shit this year. Gonna be worth some cheddar in the next few. Fuck cars and us cheap fucks who buy them.

I know someone who works at a cat dealer, they like to shit on John Deere and it’s stupid anti consumer policies.
But cat is plenty expensive anyway

John Deer just (like, yesterday) announced that they're changing their policies to allow more repairs, but I wouldn't blame a person for being skeptical.
