The other day I ask my wife when sign up opens for baseball for Cole. She told me last night they opened January 1st and she somehow signed herself up

I told her she’s a tad too tall to pass as a 10-12 year old

No watching of any TV since 1999!

They told us anything computer related would no longer function . I turned off the TV never turned it back on.

The Spartan interiors were top spec, made of varnished Birch plywood. These were an expensive coach.

The Manor was the smallest coach, later came the much larger, even more expensive and mid century space age inspired Carousel. Look at the size and number of the windows, the sliding glass door is original.

    img_79972.jpg

The Carousel came with a stylish round kitchen.

And this amazing Sputnik inspired light fixture.

Wonder how they kept that sliding glass door from breaking while moving it, you’d think the flex would break it.

Some coaches used to be quite desperate for taller players back when winning meant something.

the best part was understanding losing as well.

Cole is definitely tall for 10, he’s 5’3” now and not showing any signs of slowing down. He played 1st base most of last season.

That is tall for being 10.

I am only a few inches taller now. I went sideways not up.

He gets his height from my wife’s side. I’m one of the taller ones in my family and I’m only 5’9”. My FIL is about 6’3”.

The Spartans had a very good structure with aircraft construction roots.

The Carousal is a 10 x 50 triple axle coach without holding tanks, weighing in around 13,000 dry, they are park model coach meant to be delivered and set in place permanently. A fleet of 29 International 2 ton trucks was employed to deliver these coaches.

Not sure where I got tagged in here, I looked and couldn't find it, but after reading through a bunch of comments, I'd like to chime in to say to the people without heirs, don't lose hope. I didnt discover the joy of woodworking until now, well after my grandfather had passed. I wished I had those tools now. (I got a few small things, but we have a big family and things got dispersed hastily and unevenly) People will come along probly who you don't expect who will come to cherish those things too.

I know things can look...depressing about our generation and those that follow, but I personally believe that skilled trades hold their value and quality tools won't lose their value even if it takes time to be discovered again. We've been "educated" against skilled trades in a lot of ways, so there's a delay in understanding which maturity helps correct. I think that will change in time anyway. :)

Wow we seldom see you in this thread !

Some days it is very hard to keep Shane`s thread and Critters separate carrying on conversations in both.
