I got an alert that I was quoted so I came looking but didn't see anything, so I looked around and caught the gist. I havent had time to lurk like usual, but it is on my watched list. :)

My parents taught my brother and I if we wanted something, we had to work for it. I’m glad they did.

College wasn’t an option for me, money being the biggest issue and also I didn’t want to go.

I’m very blessed my dad was a good teacher, mechanic, farmer, fireman, but mostly a good dad.

My son follows me around like a puppy, sometimes I get frustrated but have to tell myself he won’t be doing it much longer. I catch myself when he ask to do something to not say “no, let me do it”. If I don’t let him, he won’t learn.

He’s like me in the way that you can tell me 10 times how to do something but until I do it, I won’t learn it.

I don’t make the most money but what I have, I’ve earned it. I want my kids to be that way too.

My son wants to start his own construction business, moving dirt. I’ve told him do it, you don’t have to go to college for that and when you get a little older you’ll be so busy you won’t know what to do.

Lucky you. I think we're changing water heaters today.

And the first furnace inspection by us is looking like we need to budget for one of those as well.

Oh the joys of home ownership.

For those who don't know me on here, I started woodworking 6 months ago. I dont have much experience, but the little I did have, I decided to practice. So I built some things I wanted to, then got some requests from family members, then made Christmas presents, now I'm working towards starting an actual business. Here's some of my work thus far:

    A pallet pond

    Bathroom storage

    Night stand

    Bookshelf

    Frame for my truck bed

Potato bins for my dad (made from scraps)

    Pallet trees

A desk for my niece with a detachable bookshelf

    Cutting boards

Started making more cutting boards since I got requests after I posted pics of these two which were Christmas presents. :)

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Readers Digest: rust spots and a small crack off the factory weld on the heat exchanger, negative flow system. No CO2 leaks found and all the readings were well below threshold. CO2 sensor / alarm ordered. Heat pump motor is leaking and the circuit board has a small faint scorch mark. Igniter is worn and safety switch contacts have some rust, and the roof cap may be missing or not properly in place. $1800 to repair, about $14k to replace with Carrier equipment.

    Plumber isn't here yet.

    Anyone need a kidney?
