100%. I had them on my 2nd gen and am waiting for my 3rd gen oem tires to wear out so I can get them.

interestingly enough, the oem tires that came with my 3rd gen were open country a30 which has been a surprisingly good tire for oem. I just want a more aggressive looking tire

wildpeak for sure. Can't really match the performance on/off road for an all season, and still be as quiet as they are at highway speeds. I love mine, 265/70 17 I payed $818 delivered.

I have ran the BFG KO and KO2 and never had a problem in the snow, but it has been at least 8-9 years ago since my last set. Maybe my memory is fuzzy. Maybe you got the Canadian compound?
I can understand wanting a better tire. I was raised south of you in Montana. Now living in Colorado at over 7500’ of elevation I need something better. I’ve been stuck a “few” times this year on my property and it’s getting rather old (now every time this has happened a gooseneck trailer was hooked).

I have a buddy in upstate NY that said the ATX tires were great except for the wear. He had them on his Tundra and towed pretty heavy. 15-20k miles was about the best he could do. Assuming my diesel would tear them up rather quickly.

Discount tire has some Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain AT tires that look promising. Only crap thing is I would have to step up a size in tire.
    https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/goodyear-wrangler-ultraterrain-at

The Toyo AT3 is another option.

My Michelin AT2s are great for most everything I do except when the white stuff is coming down.

I put Michelin defenders on everything unless there’s a real need for something else. I’ve always gotten 100k+ out of them and they are impressive as hell in the rain.

Yup, Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. Quiet, good traction. Use case very similar to OP.
First winter and no deep snow yet so can't comment on that.

Good sale at Canadian Tire sealed the deal lol.

I’m on my second set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. First set got me 50k miles. Probably could have taken them a bit further. Quiet, great in rain, 4 Peak Mountain Snowflake, good looks, good price and light weight. Not as aggressive as some, but a good compromise tire if you’re not off-road regularly.

Same here. Unless you do a bunch of off-roading you will not find a better tire period. They are better in every facet and Michelin is the leader is tire technology. I do not believe anyone on here recommending other tires for the need the OP has asked has ever run the LTX M/S.

Peaks have been known to get loud with age. Everyone who says they are a quiet tire, how many miles do you have? Mine hum like a bitch.

I'm sure all AT's get a little louder with age, be hard pressed to find one that doesn't. Mine are brand new so couldn't say, but I'm wiling to bet a lot of that has to do with rotation and use case. I'm always looking for a decent tire at a decent price, unlike some whose identity seems to be a little to connected to whichever brand they run.
Those Michelin defenders at 265/65 17 are almost $300, so I hope they go past 60k miles with ease.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
I put about 30K on mine before I traded the truck in. Rotated every 7500 miles or so. At that mileage they were quieter than the Rugged Treks I put on my Tacoma a couple of weeks ago.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
Check Cdn tire, KO2s are cheaper than the Duratracs, Falkens and the Coopers. I’ve ran KO2s for 9 years and they’ve been good. 285 in C load for 51 lbs tough to beat.

You need to try a different tire. You’ll be surprised how much they suck.
