I kinda want the vintage 3 stipe on bed of my truck. Just dont want it to stand out so much. Maybe a light matte version. Wish it was an '80

    Do white/beige/brown instead of red/orange

Oracal probably has them in matte or you could have any color printed matte from a quality sign shop

I miss the clean look in some ways and not so much in others. When I got my first Tacoma I tried hard to keep it looking factory but since I've got the stockish Land Cruiser now and a couple dailies the Tacos have become my camping/adventure toys and most of what gets done to/put on makes adventuring easier in some way or another.

Throw back time! My poor stock green truck.

Aaaaand, just hours before it's death...

The current one started reallly stock too, but I forgot to take pics with the stock wheels...

Then it grew up just a bit...

A lot of white Toyotas like my wife's Rav have really bad chipping and peeling issues, doesn't seem like an issue with the 1st gens though. Wife's is covered for life through Toyota apparently, already been repainted once

Was the green one the 3RZ truck or was that earlier?

Cobalt Blue Pearl actually might be my favorite color.

Oh yeah, been there done that one too... it's a surprisingly good looking color. Kept the evergreen pearl tailgate from my rolled truck though.

The green one was a 3RZ truck and the grey one got its 3RZ and manual when I put it together after the rollover

Oh cool you bought the grey one with a bad engine? This might be in your build thread but I haven't seen it.

Come to think of it I wonder how hard it is to find a Pewter Pearl hood, mine has a lot of rock chips and clearcoat fade.

It had a good engine (with 380k miles on it) and an auto. The auto was unacceptable, just awful with a 4 banger. So I decided since I had rebuilt my 3RZ in the green truck and it had a manual I'd remove everything and swap it into the grey truck. And I mean everything, engine harnesses, dash harnesses, etc. The grey truck was $2000 running and driving, those days are gone haha
