anyone running something like this? i am interested in getting the molle side bed panels for the driver and passenger side on my 2022 and wanted to mount a packout socket set box on it along with a few other packout things. Just curious as to if anyone has done this before? ive seen a few packout things in the interior but nothing really in the bed. just curious to see how it looks and fits, and if itll work with my tonneau cover or not.

    thanks!

I have the caliraised full molle system in my long bed, both sides and front of the bed. Had the tyger tonneau cover on my bed while using it, no problems. I'm selling the molle panels if you want them for a cheaper price. 3rd gen 6 foot bed. PM if interested.

thank you for the offer, but unfortunately I’ve got the smaller 5ft bed.

by chance do you have any photos of this with the tailgate open and tonneau closed?

i dont have any pix. the tonneau cover i have is connected by a two piece clamp style bracket to the bed rail, 3 on each side. none of the molle system bolts that went into the bed rail interfered with the tonneau clamps. just got lucky on the spacing, bought it not thinking about interference.

Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
Looking at the Cali Raised website, I do not see why you could not just purchase their setup (or another brand really) and then mount the packout plates to them..?

I have made a rear seat delete for packout (and am still tweaking it a bit here and there) and am currently working on a bed slider/box that will have packout plates in the drawer and then on half of the top. Once the cap shows up, everything will be safe then and covered up.

I have the Built-Right cab Molle and bought their Packout mounting kits for my small toolbox. In attempting to install them, I learned firsthand Taco beds are too short to fully install a Packout vertically. While you can install the U-shaped brackets, there are not enough rows to install the small retainer clip/tab bracket that clicks and locks the Packout in place. You can actually see what I'm talking about in one of the reviews on Built-Right's website. I imagine this isn't a unique problem for just them as its the Taco with a short bed wall. As an alternative, I'm mounting a Packout base plate to the back of one of the rear seats so I can store the toolbox with the seat folded down. I've also had them ride simply on the OEM bed mat and have not encountered issues with them sliding all over the place.
