I’ve got a ‘16 with 107k miles on it that I have had for a little over a year now. Every once in awhile, my trips, tank fuel econ, and total range will be reset on startup alongside my preset for the button on the steering wheel will be defaulted as well. This did not happen in the first 10k miles I had it because I watched it rollover from 9999 to 0.

Anyone have a guess what the issue might be? It’s very random and seems to maybe be temperature related, but never happened when it was extra hot in the summer. I live in the Midwest, so I experience hot summers and cold winters here, but when it happened today it wasn’t less than 40°.

The battery is dated for 10/21 so I’m thinking that that being the cause is unlikely, however I do run it in accessory fairly often. Today is the first time it’s happened in about a thousand miles. Thanks y’all!!

Get a meter and check your battery. I get the reset if my batter dips below 11.8v on startup.

Saw this reply a little bit after you sent it and put my meter in my center console. I’m now gonna check it every time i go to start it up, thanks for the input!

Doesn't all that resetting happen when you take the gas cap off as well? Maybe it has something to do with the gas cap.
