ah this is great. You can also modify and fit early 5th gen 4runner mirrors (2010) or so that have built in puddle lights, but this creates another option. I had been wondering if this would work.

I am curious @twtaco$ what you used to connect them

Meso headlight trim plates. I actually bought them before I even got the truck, looks much better than the black grill looking pieces IMO.

H9 bulbs, probably the best cost/benefit purchase out of anything so far. Took a minute to shave off the extra tab to make it fit, now my low beams are about as bright as my high beams, without the scatter and blinding people.

    20220114_182333.jpg

Edit: Apparently you can remove the green plastic from your bulb plugs and run H9's without any trimming or harnesses.

Rav4 radio knobs, much easier to grab.

Nice, I always things that there should be a triangular point or something that sticks out where it is in case you reach for it by feel when changing while driving. One should probably know which of the three modes you are in anyway, but thought it could be helpful.

I'm generally trying to be a bit clever when I post, but I admit I cleavered that post unintentionally.

Must be nice to have a long bed  I THINK I could do it at an angle in my short bed, but I just take the front wheels off - I use a front rail mounted fork mount.

Plasti derp it. The airbag comes out of there, you don't want tiny pieces of plastic shoved in there.

I recommend these (I have a set), and shave it down on the pigtail adapter. This way, you can drop in ANY H9 or H11, if one burns out, you don't need to have an H11 or shave down the bulbs every time.

Agree, H9 bulb swap is the best bang for the buck cheap mod.

That's a good idea, I think I'll do that. I was too cheap/lazy at the time to get an H11 to H9 harness for $20+ or whatever they are, but for some reason anything sub $10 makes my mind think "free". Thanks for the tip.
