Naw, buddy did that for me.

Custom-made at my request to follow the lines of my rear bumper.

I ended up speaking with ARB after I got mine and was figuring out my OME kit and reading so many differing opinions. I went with 881, which they said were built for the ARB bar. (Echoed by Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters if I remember correctly, been a while) The issue they had was people kept adding weight in other ways, and the 881, which had always been their "heavy duty" setup, was knocked down to provide heavier springs for people to feel better about putting bigger loads on. They said my stockers would also run the bar itself, sans winch, fine for a while as well, which it has done. I've been lazy for a over a year and haven't even put my 881 on yet and my front barely noticed. I don't even have a rake.

@01x4 Your truck looks nice! And yeah its not too noticeable on mine unless I add air to the airbags.

Once we get a warm streak I'll get the shocks on, but I've been surprised how well it's done.
How do you like the airbag setup? The PO of my truck had them but I removed when I got it, always wondered if maybe I should have given them a try. (Though my rear load is never too crazy and I don't tow)

When I called up ARB a month or so ago when researching coils, I asked them about 882s vs 883s. The guy I spoke with was very adamant, only the 2880 and the 2881 were available for the 1st gen. I mentioned 2882s and 2883s being used and he repeated the same song and dance. "While some may use other OME springs, the 2880 and 2881 are the only options we have for your truck".

ummmm OK. Thanks, I guess. :notsure:

Huh, weird. Might be the sort of low-key way they're saying, "Hey, this is all you need." Obviously they're available for ours haha.

Or it was his subtle way of saying, "it's lunch and I need to take my break". hahaha

Let me know how it feels with the ome & 881s. The airbags are good for me since I have a ARE canopy+steel roofrack+ recovery gear+camping stuff :D it just feels a bit stiff on potholes.. @01x4

I was thinking about adding a cold air intake or snorkle to add a few ponies… how does your snorkle treat you ? & that fine man @01x4

It's been good. I had one on my previous vehicle, so I just went with it again. If nothing else, I know I have a raised air intake with colder forced air, and for the little headache it is to install, it's worth it in my opinion.

Sure thing. Safari snorkel (or an eBay clone if you don't want to pony up the cash) is the way. Deep breath and double check the template before you drill into your fender haha.
