What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Put new Cooper shoes on the Taco and just installed new led taillights. They look great imo. Good morning ladies and gentlemen

So even if the truck wasn't originally equipped with turn signals in the mirrors they'll work?

 

For tundra, yes. They are pre wired, but have to run wiring to the door. But no pre 3rd gen tundra has turn signal mirror (front facing) like some trims of Tacoma. Unless they’re tow mirrors.
A lot of tacomas have turn signal mirrors which is weird spotter doesn’t offer an option for them.

 

Tinted and painted to reduce glare in camera.

You realize that will do nothing to help camera glare except the fact your just dimming them by half. It's actually the bottom of the lens that glares in the camera not the top part you blocked. The other blockers work because of the angle the camera views it at is downward, not because the top is blocked.

The ones I have are distanced away from the light lens...giving it better angle coverage.

 

I love that stance. Would you be able to tell me the lift amount and tire size? Mine is still stock and I'm shopping to make it beefy and yours is exactly the look I'm hoping to get. This is my first truck sorry for asking details. It's just a bit overwhelming searching on my own.

Yes. My Tundra mirrors are Spotter with turns

My Tacoma mirrors are Suma Performance with turns

 

If your happy then that is all that matters, I just wanted to point it out before someone else made an irreversible change to the lens that didn't give them the outcome they expected.

 

It’s not irreversible. I painted over the tint in case it didn’t work as expected. The tint helps a decent amount with the glare but not as good as tint and paint.

 

Well that's good to hear, the fact you tinted them first was not obvious in your photos or the simple 3 word description "glare in camera" you posted.

 

Jesus that's a lot of lights. I bet when you turn them all on, you can see........into the future! I hope you have a second battery for all those accessories.

Nice paint job, but I think you will still get glare from bottom of light enclosure. Well, you should have used the Mattest and Flattest paint in the world. If you also would paint your bumper with this, then you would get the same effect as the Dave Easa DIR mod.
