Well the faucet replacement was an easy enough fix. Hardest part was moving the washing machine out so I could get to the wall easy. Old valve gave it up without a fight, a healthy coating of pipe dope on the new thread and back in it goes. Water on, no leaks on my end :bananadance:

But… you knew there would be a but, the ball valve at the meter is leaking now that the water is turned back on. Street side of the meter so that’s not my problem, trouble ticket called in to the water company. They will have a crew out “shortly.”

That happened to us Monday just after the alarm went off. Luckily the coffee was made! Came back on after about 15 minutes.

Yesterday mid morning we had a brown out. All the 220 and high draw 110 stuff went off, the few lights that were on went really dim. We went through the house turning everything off and pulling plugs on electronics. Everything was ok a short time time later. I checked with the neighbors and it effected them too so it’s not my service panel.

Didn’t this topic come up here just a few weeks ago?

Yep. I buy about 5 or so of each at a time. Saves on shipping and they have lasted just fine for multiple years stored out of the sun. I have also used the blades on non-Tacoma vehicles such as my MINI. Most stock vehicles you can take the blade assembly apart, cut it to length and slide it in. Just make sure you leave one end uncut to act as an "anchor" as the grooves on the end of the insert are designed to be held in place by the metal supports on each side of the insert. (I know, that was a terrible explanation. Most of you are reading that paragraph and going.... o_O:notsure::crazy:)

Friend brought this by, he had a bracket added for hanging weights. It was more than it could bear. I’m gonna take it home and fire up the bobcat and stick weld it. It’s some sorry metal that don’t weld good. Hopefully a 6013 will hold it up.

Now going back in time @1970 We had two types of students .

The fast track College Prep or the tech kids in those days they were looked at as not being good enough for college. Some how I ended up in the college prep classes.I had no idea just what criteria was used to decide.

The school powers to be had decided I was going to college. I need to say school bored the hell out of me.

The Guidance people did not want me to go to tech . I was told flat out tech was for the slower kids.

At that point I became a slower kid looking back I dropped out of school but still went to class. When it came down to decision time the school caved . Best move I ever made. Back in those days we had some great teachers they stepped from the field into the class room.

College was pushed I think many kids just went with the flow. I knew being Poor I could never afford the cost if student loans were pushed in those days I don`t remember everyone I knew worked to get through school.

I was always the odd person out they way the townships were laid out I was like one of a very few country farm kids tossed into a mix of very upper middle class and the projects students. Most all my friends were in different School districts.
