The AEM WB linked is a OBD2 Passthrough. Meaning you plug it in, and you can plug something else in behind it. No splitter needed.

I use a dual Y style splitter for my AEM and the factory OBD2 does not like to play nice all the time with two items piggybacking off of it.

It’s a communication protocol issue. Splitting signals leads to message conflicts from multiple devices.

Hey guys, nice to read your posts again - I'm back!

I have a bit of an obtuse off-topic question, do you guys have some recommended good quality lug nuts (6 lug) that have decent theft deterrent? Cost would not be a concern.

One that's 19mm, one that's 21mm, a 6 point tuner lug and one of those in between 21mm and 22mm chrome clad lug nuts that always get stuck in the damn sockets and are impossible to get on and off quickly.

If they have all those different sizes and styles then they deserve to keep the wheels.

Timken bearings swapped in on the lower and mid idlers. Just need to modify the VW roller for the belt wrap mod, pick up the S/C belt, and pretty much slap everything back together.

I thought the OBD2 was limited in terms of AFR data. If that's not the case, would an ultragauge or a headunit with the ability to display AFR be sufficient?

that's a good point. How does the AFR ODB gauge work, or do you still tap into the aftermarket? Assuming so.

Rays has good locking nuts at a fair price. There's also can also run titek or greddy style spline nut. Lastly there's the Ti versions like titanium works.

The AEM device ports it's output on the CAN BUS and the HPTuners Scanner is able to pick it up and log/display the mixture ratio as any other PID logged on the CAN BUS.

It's not going to display the WB reading on a UltraGauge or anything like that. You can however have both plugged in at the same time.

@Torspd has answered this before. Either the stock o2 sensor is not wideband or has enough resolution or something.

Eg, the UG (afr cmd) value gives an idea of the afr, but not precise enough to much else, i think.

Stock primary sensors are widebands and are able to read below 11.98:1 however, the ECU is limited in reporting that data so the richest you'll see on the primary sensors is 11.98:1

The AEM gauge mentioned, allows you to log/display data down to 9.0:1 iirc.

I've seen some 7 sided lug nuts. Possibly Rays? Volk Racing has some good ones to.

I have this gauge. Justdsm helped me set it up to log in HPtuners a good while ago. you still have to install a dedicated wideband 02 sensor in the exhaust for this gauge. it's not going to display the stock wideband readings. The advange of this is that it has a connector that piggybacks on the OBDII port so HP tuners thinks its a stock sensor reading.

Rays dura lugs aren’t bad. The set comes with 24 lugs, 4 of them being special locking lugs and a key
