My boss resigned today. He was a good dude. Actually enjoyed working and helping the company move forward. He was also a fantastic buffer between the sales team and the rest of management -- "Let them sell shit and don't bother them" kinda guy.

So anyways, looks like I'm looking for a new job within 6 months. In a transition you generally get about half a year free to sort yourself out and find another sales job.

ANY DNA test that says "WE CAN ID CATAHOULA!" is blowing smoke up your ass.

Secondly, if they identify ANY of the dangerous breeds, then you're shafted for renting apartment, homeowners insurance, etc.

Basically unless you have a pure bred lab, or a weener dog, you could be stuck.

SO, you test your dog, find out COOL! It's 50% HUSKY! Now when insurance, or a rental/landlord asks - you have two options. Lie, and say, "NOPE, no husky here!" or own up to it.

Own up - no policy/lease.

Lie - if anyting happens, even if old lady Buchanan's schitzu started it and bit your dog, and your dog didn't retaliate, they investigate and find out that yes, your dog IS in fact a dangerous breed, AND you lied about it, that's a world of hurt - and even a potential of having to put the dog down.

 

So how do you know you have a Catahoula? Because the AKC finally recognized them as a breed in '95? Which basically means if you ain't got papers you ain't got a Calahoula. Cool dogs BTW. lol
