I think you need timed races, see how fast you can open and close, and how far away it works

I just went outside to fire up the gas grill to cook a chunk of ribeye. Nope. Another regulator has bitten the dust. I should just buy a box of them at the rate they seem to go bad. ( 6 months-ish on average) I remove the feed line every time, so I doubt that any moisture got into and killed it, but I can hear something rattle around inside. No way to cook any food on the baby flame that comes out of the burners. ( Yes, the tank is full)

I was gonna say shut off the tank and tap the reg and turn it back on but your hearing stuff you shouldn’t….

I appreciate it, that was the first trick that I tried. A bit of a tappy-tap-tap didn't work this time. I got the cast iron skillet going on the cook top but it's not the same. 1st world problems...

My grill will do the baby flame thing when someone-who-shall-not-be-named turns off the burners before turning off the gas at the tank. Don't ask me why, but it seems to jack up the regulator. Fix is generally leave the knobs open, turn off the gas, turn off the knobs, turn on the gas, turn on knob one and hit igniter. And hope you don't have a fireball. But, yeah...regulator rattling? I've never seen/heard that.

I’ve had a similar issue a time or two, my fix is to turn the gas off, remove the regulator from the tank, and reattach it. So far that has always worked, and I’ve had the same regulator for 22 years.

Definitely to young. Hopefully it wasn’t drug related.
