I took it to tennis, where I parked as far away from everyone else as practicable. When I came out, I was surprised to see I had three new friends. Charcoal Silverado, charcoal Silverado, charcoal Silverado, then my white Tacoma. Glad I didn't buy a Silverado--or any full-size truck. Freaking behemoths in comparison. On the ride home, I thanked Betty for being such an awesome truck that everyone with generic trucks wants to park by her. She appreciated it.

FWIW - not wise in NYS:
A new New York State law to crack down on illegal modification to mufflers or exhaust systems does into effect Friday. Governor Kathy Hochul signed the legislation into law on October 29, 2021. This new law penalizes drivers and repair shops for illegal modifications by increasing the maximum fine to $1,000

And in N.C.
§ 20-128. Exhaust system and emissions control devices

(a) No person shall drive a motor vehicle on a highway unless such motor vehicle is equipped with a muffler, or other exhaust system of the type installed at the time of manufacture, in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise, annoying smoke and smoke screens.

(b) It shall be unlawful to use a "muffler cut-out" on any motor vehicle upon a highway.

(c) No motor vehicle registered in this State that was manufactured after model year 1967 shall be operated in this State unless it is equipped with emissions control devices that were installed on the vehicle at the time the vehicle was manufactured and these devices are properly connected.

(d) The requirements of subsection (c) of this section shall not apply if the emissions control devices have been removed for the purpose of converting the motor vehicle to operate on natural or liquefied petroleum gas or other modifications have been made in order to reduce air pollution and these modifications are approved by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

The easiest solution is don't install LED license plate bulbs

Thank you! I got it from KO Autoworks. Super reasonable price and you can also get it with different color letters, Raptor lights, etc. Shipped pretty quick and arrived at my house in 3 days, although that might have to do with living in the same state they ship from.

Install was very straight forward despite the fact it did not come with ANY form of directions. Pretty self explanatory though if you’re even the least bit mechanically inclined.

I really liked the fact it wasn’t a pro grille. Don’t get me wrong, I think the pro looks really sharp, I just wanted to see if I could find something a bit different!!

2022 TRD Sport, manual transmission.
Love my truck but have one strange problem.
If I back up and park, then when I return, my truck will not start.

Turns over fine but not starting. Has happened two days in a row.

I used the SOS button but they only help in an emergency. Having my 2022 Truck with 400 miles on it not start, is in my mind, an emergency.

Called Roadside Assistance and they cannot find my truck. Finally do find it but my name is not associated with it. While they continue to work, i continue to troubleshoot.
It feels like it is out of gas, so I remove gas cap and can smell gas and shake bed and can head sloshing.

Try to start and it cranks right up, weird.

This is all at work on my way home for the day. Drive home, drives perfect, pull into driveway and shut it off.

Next morning ready to use another vehicle if my truck does not start, but cranks up, no problems.

Get to work, back in and turn it off. Go to leave and turns-over but does not crank, same as day before.

Remove and replace gas cap to see it that resolves my problem. It does not.

Shake my bed and it cranks up, drives home no problems.

So anyone have any idea what may be happening? Plan to take her to the dealership but if I cannot get it to fail there, we all know the response, "cannot duplicate the complaint."
