anybody make any new years promises to themselves that usually dose not materialize?
I did and I'm going to do my best to make this one come true.
min. 1 day a month camping.
so the middle of Jan 2023 is hear and I have not been out yet.

so date Friday 27th Jan. 2023 just an overnighter and at rays place. ( this is not the winter wheeling at rays place) thats a diffrent thing.

its not about wheeling or trails, its just about getting out and camping once a month. Just like this I'll post up if anyone wants to join me. If anything changes I'll also post up to change the date but......... Once a month camping for 2023.......... if you got nothing better to do come join me.:) psssssst. you don't have to bring a tacoma, 4 runner, or the like, just bring yourself.

So the 5-luggers blower motor only worked on high for a while. Bought the new resistor but no time to install it.

But now it works on all speeds about 50% of the time?
i usually keep it on 3 when i don't feel like listening to the fan.
Nothing consistently triggers it that i have figured out. Sometimes it works when i start the truck. Sometimes it will just randomly work again while I'm driving.

Is there a different known issue with the controls on these trucks or probably just the resistors still? I might get some garage space next week to poke around a bit.

I can just hear the David Attenborough documentary being made:

"As the pack of Toyota enthusiasts grow together, they take turns to elect a temporary leader [mayor] to guide each other through their lack of sight.
to compensate for their blindness, they heavily use their sense of touch [size] to guide over rocks and obstacles, sometimes getting stuck in water and mud.

With tenacity they allow one of their newer pack members to guide them down their hunting trails. but once one of the members of the pack is caught in a water trap, as they did not see it, there is usually a quick cry for help and promptly the pack gathers to help one of their fallen.

As they grow their sense of touch and their footprint grow as the pack grows. allowing the pack to raise itself over the years but there is usually a limitation. Once members become on equal footing, they find themselves looking for a new pack leader. and so they push forward one they believe in to allow the pack to aimlessly follow.

the blind leading the blind so the speak."

The connector to the resistor could be burned resulting in intermittent contact. Known issue. One of several parts in 2nd gens supplied by General Motors. Dorman even sells a resistor kit with a spare connector pigtail for this reason: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=7314756&cc=1431546&pt=6557&jsn=427

Your 2014 doesn't have this issue because Toyota switched suppliers after GM's bankruptcy in 2010.

Im 90% sure that the kit so nice to know i likely dont have to chase an intermittent electrical issue

Figured I should post my buddies Lexus in here. 1UZ powered, so smooth. Full air suspension. Love this thing. Visited him in California recently. I took him to a dealership and convinced him to buy a 14 Avalon so he wouldn’t have to daily it anymore…. I’m a good friend
