thank you @daveeasa and I work nights living in the suburbs then driving into the city I use them often at the beginning of the trip. I also believe they could use some fine adjustment for the alignment

See post #5987 as an example for removing the green center plastic in the OEM harness to make H9s plug and play.

RE Odyssey vs T4R, Post #5247 for Odyssey high beam vs T4R in post #5048 (Toshiba HIRs vs stock) and post #5241 (Toshiba vs Sylvania HIRs) The T4R puts down higher output 17%+ higher output intensity in the high beam over the Odyssey using the same high performing 9011 HIRs. Need to look at the posts to compare patterns.

Note that you don't adjust the high beam independently. The high beam is tied to the low beam and adjusted by adjusted the low beam. If your low beam is adjusted correctly, then your high beam is properly aimed.

Curious about LED headlamps -- whether Toyota's latest OEM projectors, or retrofit H4 bulbs in old reflector housings -- how do these deal with serious cold weather & snow?

Do they get hot enough on their own to keep the headlight lenses free of snow? Or does Toyota build auxiliary heating circuits into the newer OEM LED projector assemblies to prevent the headlights from getting dangerously caked up & dim due to snow accumulation?

I have upgraded from Halogen to OEM LED on my 2017, and they have been great for the last 3 years. I personally like the look of them, but a BLHM Halogen gives me that cool RC Toy Truck vibe.

The one issue I have with the LEDs is the less than ideal performance in rainy weather on old roads. I do think it is because of the color temp, the cooler white is just not as visible in bad weather compared to warmer whites.

I used to run 5500k HIDs and those penetrated through rain like nothing.

Toyota’s LEDs are reflector, not projector. That said, no they do not melt snow. No aux heating circuit. I don’t know of any OEM that gives you aux heaters. Some aftermarket options for Jeeps and trucks do but that’s all. Some OEMs have a sprayer that hits the headlights.

I wish the manufacturers would cut the LED kelvin to way lower like 4000k range as the high kelvin light seems to wash out color contrast to me

I think the headlights on my 2019 are amazing but then, I was driving vehicles before halogens came on the scene, what a difference they made from the incandescence bulbs...

I feel the same way. I just installed the factory leds on my SR5 and like them, but anyone who says the halogens are terrible has never driven on a freshly paved asphalt road at night, in the rain, with nothing but a pair of incandescent sealed beams lighting the way.
