Mine was a 1965. A guy that went to HS with my mom restored it for his son. Once his son saw it, he didn't want it. He was interested in late 60's/early 70's muscle cars. Got it for 4K in 1995. Drove it for 6 months then got a 95 T4R. Kept the car for 9ish yrs. A guy would go by and ask my dad every 6 months if he'd sell........finally caught him on the right day. Still wish I had it.

My first car was a '66 Fury III. My dad paid $100 for it. It was about 10 years old at the time. It had the 318 Poly engine. I owned and drove that for 23 years! Did lots of work on it. Not repairs, improvements: 4-barrel Weiand aluminum intake manifold, Holly spread-bore double-pumper carb, dual exhaust, electric fan, electric fuel pump, Direct Connection electronic ignition, open air cleaner, B&M TorqueFlite 727 street/strip transmission, wider aluminum wheels with good radial tires. Had so much fun with my old Plymouth!

1971 fj40, sky-blue. It had a cracked block but a 250 Chevy bolted right up. It was kind of a legend around...just about anywhere I had been in it. Not my actual cruiser. Mine had some dings, dents and scrapes etc. It had the 3 on the floor, someone had cut out the hole in the floor. I could put it in L 2WD and first gear I could use the gas pedal to bounce the front wheels off the ground. Kind of just like the low riders of the 90's. This was in the early 80's so that is most likely where they got the idea from. Get 2 or 3 guys sitting in the back and I could kind of ride a wheelie for a few feet.

Almost every penny I made from 17-22 went into this stupid car, even if it doesn’t look like it. I was the only idiot dumb enough to do $3,000 worth of rust repair.

Slow doesn’t begin to describe it, but with a decent suspension setup and grippy summer tires it was a bit of a hoot to drive.

'75 was a good yr to graduate in, a friend had a 72 Corona it was a great little car for for him. I had a 66 Chevy impala 4 door, am radio and 2 speed auto. I think the first car you owned was always the best, it ment freedom and independence from depending on your parents.
