These require you to start the truck back up once you get in because it turns off no?

What happens when you currently tap the start button without your foot on the brake pedal?

How would you integrate the current accessory mode functionality into a ‘start without needing brake pedal’ feature?

This is a can of worms that is not worth the effort. But yes, I agree it’s annoying not being able to just stick the key in the tumbler and turn the vehicle on.

Reach down with your left hand, push on the brake, and use you right hand to start the truck.

This is what I do since the remote start is stupid on these trucks.

You can just hold the button down for 10 second I think. But probably easier to just push the brake with your hand.

This sounds like an order of operations issue.

I like to get my shit together, get in, start, and go.

    More efficient. Fewer steps.

I never tried the ten second hold down, I would be a little nervous.

-- One press gives you Accessory functions.

-- Two presses gives you Ignition On functions, everything but the engine is not running.

You can hit the brake pedal and the PTS button again to start the engine.

-- Holding it down should eventually start the engine without touching the brake pedal.

-- Putting it in Neutral and hitting the PTS button will shut the engine off, but allow you to keep the Accessories on. I think they will shut off after 20min?

When it gets over 120 out here I like to open the doors and run the AC for a couple of seconds before I get up in there.

I just tried it. Doesn't work, at least from the driver's seat. For thoroughness I did not try it while sitting in the passengers.

Why? It's just at button that is at your command. Not a self destruct feature.

I'm a wild bastard, I still climb in and go. But I also run a pretty stout sunshade and crack the windows on a summer day. It keeps the cab down to low oven temperatures.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Whatever happened to the concept of getting your shit together, get it all into the truck, hop in, start it and go?

My 18 will start without using the brake.
Hit the start button once accessory comes on hit it again and hold it like 15 seconds truck starts.

easier to use the brake pedal!
Just more stealthy cause no brake lights.

It was a rhetorical question. Point was there is functionality built into tapping the Start button without foot on brake.
Ever have your vehicle sitting outside in 120 degree heat?
