I think this is the V1 grill. I got last year from a forum member. I have the other V2 but I never really liked the look.

It’s been slow at the shop so yesterday I brought in my old Hella 500ffs to put on my new bull bar with some of the tube clamps that KC sells. I am no electrician so it took all day for me to figure out that one of my fuses was blown. Then today I figured out my ground was bad so I had to relocate the ground to a bolt connected to the frame. Got them all setup today though and I ordered a set of fuses to keep in my glove box.

I think it would depend on where you get it smogged. The two places I use would not pass that. It is really how much they scrutinize the smog laws. Even though all you are changing is the location of the inlet, the filter housing isn't being modified, they consider that modifying the intake. Therefore it would not pass visual. I asked him about the PCV catch can and that would fail too. Because you are modifying a part of the emissions. California can suck when it comes to cars. That is why I prefer pre 75 cars. No smog required.
I think in more recent years the smog techs have become more strict because their license could be at stake.

I like this setup, which is it? Does it come without the bull bar addition?

California is so beautiful. But I couldn’t live by their emission rules.

I really hate that about CA. Where I live there is no smog inspection. The only thing they check under the hood is that the battery has a hold down strap on it. They only cover the tailpipe and listen for exhaust leaks. That's it. I have had a CAI on many vehicles and it does not have any impact on inspections. In the northern part of the state, near Washington DC, they do have smog inspections. Been talking about it here for 30 years but it never happened. CA is also the 1st state to ban gas mowers, weed-eaters and blowers. I think FL is doing the same because my bro-in-law spent weeks looking for a gas mower there with no luck. Nice for the poor guys trying to survive in a landscaping business.

Florida does zero emission testing or inspections. They stopped in early 2000 if I remember correctly. You can drive a truck thats literally falling apart, with no cats, leaky exhaust manifolds, and burning oil. And I have.haha

Installed a Borla ProXS (40364) today, my factory muffler split at the seams. 2.5" stainless tubing slips nicely over the stock tubing. I'm too cheap to pay the $25 for a stainless turn down/axle dump so made my own out of tubing I had on hand. I'm happy with it for the most part, sounds alright with the cowl snorkel.

We have a place in Melbourne (wife is there now) and the problem in FL is the high insurance PIP requirement. Depending on age/value of the vehicle it is cheaper to keep VA plates, and pay VA taxes, and VA insurance than it is to run FL plates with FL insurance (no-fault state). Highest rates in the country. The funny thing is, with no inspections, people there drive them until they quit and leave them where they die. Like on the side of the road. I was going to buy an suv there and, with no inspections, I paid an ASE certified shop to do a $100 safety inspection. Needed 4 rotors and 1 caliper. Made me appreciate the $20 annual safety inspections in VA.

wow that is sexy! I need something like that on my 09, you said the 2.5 pipe slid over the 2.3 piping? very nice to know, maybe it's time to grab a set of calipers and see what is actually under my truck, was going to throw 2.5 with a glass pack style resonator and likely some sort of straight though or chambered muffler.

PIP is to protect you from all the uninsured motorists in Florida. Lol! There are a lot of crazy uninsured folks driving around for sure. Vehicle age definitely changes the rates- but I was only paying $43.00 a month for coverage on my vehicle. Even when I had full coverage it was under $100. I’m a safe driver though… no accidents or tickets.

Thanks! Yes, I had a feeling it would work but I was happily surprised with how tightly it fit. That actually fit better than the 2.5 into the muffler which kind of surprised me. I'm thinking I might add a resonator as well a little later.

hows the exhaust note? any drone under load? i may still just go pull my exhaust off and go grab some mufflers and have them weld me up some 2.5in and dump it though i may have them angle it towards the outside or something.

again, those pie cuts are sexy!

Bumper is Warn’s low profile front winch bumper but it does not come without the bull bar. Victory 4x4 does sell a low profile front winch bumper without a bullbar if you’re interested though, was considering them until I saw a good deal on the Warn
