Ok gotcha, thanks. I was just curious. It seems like the 2.8 has become something people mention often like it's some perfect solution for anything when the stock engine goes tits up. I feel like I'd just have a rebuild done or even source another original engine. The idea of a swap is cool and all but adding complexity just seems like a headache later on for what gain you get, especially with 2.8 being lackluster as is and an expensive pain to pull more out of it. Maybe I'm a weirdo.

 

That makes sense. I mean, good on em for putting it out there, but seems like a very specific use case all said and done. Might be cool in something old and light like the early pickups/Hilux.

Hard to see but the shiny hose at the bottom is the high pressure line. Damn o ring on the pump was flat as hell too.

It was cavitating somehow which is why I could never get it to bleed all the air out, that and leaking like crazy.

All fixed now.

 

Ahh yep if it was leaking it was probably also pulling air and causing your cavitation issue

Fought that for a while on the 85 lol

 

Also, my Logitech G933 gave up the ghost last night after +6 faithful years.
