False. No venomous snakes, spiders, tornadoes, or hurricanes, and we have snow on occasion. Less and less as the years go by. I’ll take that deal any day of the week!

also most Americans don’t know Maine exists, which is an added bonus!

I run a soft topper. It gives me the option to quickly have an open bed quickly .

It's been on my truck for 100k miles. There is no sign that it's failing anytime soon.

If it rips tomorrow, I'll have a new one ordered by sundown.

I leave my truck bed open for the rare occasion that I get to throw a deer back there. I do day naps in the driver's seat several times a year; not overly comfortable, but it works.

Cops ever try to run you off for loitering in bed of your truck?

    Re: Poll

    How about "it depends".

Open is great for the convenience in the summer - snow in the winter is a p-i-t-a.

I have had tool boxes on regular cab trucks - mostly for the things that go in an Access cab normally, groceries for example when you have 2 people in the cab.

Never had a cover, like the smooth look but seems like it would be in the way a lot if you do truck stuff.

Shell (we call them caps up here) is so wonderfully convenient - except for the times when it isn't - like every time you want to put something in the bed for example.

    What about these?

Re poll, this is the first truck I've covered the bed and I bought a tonneau cover. So far I like it, and the ability to hide and secure more stuff. @StayinStock it fits deer no problem.

Maybe the size of my deer are the problem!

I had bed rails on my previous two trucks, an F150 and a Ram 1500, both reverse hinge 4 doors. The rails were 98% cosmetic.

I have no doubt that the ones I tend to shoot would fit in the trunk of a Prius. :anonymous:
But....the way I get them in there by myself, it seems like a cover might be a pain. Also, I never haul much worth stealing. :anonymous::anonymous:

Fwiw I'm about ready to toss my Lomax in the river. I'm not sure I've ever been less happy with something I spent more money on. Plastic in parts I would want metal, the fit isnt great. The way it secures to my truck without bedrail caps isnt good, and I dont think I should have to buy caps to make it fit. If I had to do it over I'd get something else.
