No warranty anymore, guess that's what I get for getting the cheaper pair. I think I can just rivet them back in place though using larger ones

Yeah should be easy to fix. Maybe a washer on the sole side of a rivet. Or maybe a good excuse for new skates.

@eon_blue - so the Camry cat finally tossed out a code and CEL is back on. Well, that cat cleaner worked and kept the CEL off for nearly a year. lol.

Put federal cat on, sell to a free state, profit, buy electric beater...

I feel like that's actually a good option with the used market when it comes to something that'll make you fail smog

Maybe Copley had this kinda issue the other night when he gave up this gaol.

But in all honesty he's been awesome!

Yeah, going to start looking for a hybrid. Most likely will be a Prius but also going to check out Leaf options. Will never buy a Tesla no matter the price. Not interested in Rivian until they work out their shit. My brother keeps talking about a Hyundai electric of all things but I’m a product of the 80s and remember them from back then. Pass.

Hyundai/KIA is about the only electric minus maybe a Chevy I'd consider. They've really upped their quality and their electric stuff (since that's inevitably where the entire US market is heading) is really doing well. Depends on what kinda charging you can get to, but I've always thought hybrids are kinda lame in terms of still having the upkeep of a full gasoline drivetrain and now a battery that will need changing sooner than a full electric since it gets short cycled.

Can you park your Chevy EV indoors yet? Last I remember was two recalls later and they still tell people to park them outside. At the dealership behind my they have them on long time extension cords away from all other cars last time I was through the lot.

I guess I should have a more open mind to the brand. I just remember their first snap together model they launched here in the US.

my brother talks non stop about the Ioniq 5.

My friend has a Hyundai Kona and it's a really pleasant car. It's a car with a normal interior that happens to electric drivetrain. No gimmick bullshit future concept ecar electric nightmare like the others

I dunno, the Bolt isn't one I see much right now, they're on national backorder due to demand. I'd like to buy an Ionic ideally, but given how I'm a cheap ass and ultimately don't want to drive anything that isn't a truck or suv, I'll probably end up buying a Leaf cause they're cheap and my commute isn't super long anyway. I'll still never take out a loan on a vehicle

Yeah, I don’t think I want to park any EV in the garage. No thx. My neighbor refuses to park his Tesla in the garage. See his charging cable snake out from time to time.
