The passenger tail light lens/cover on my 2015 Tacoma is cracked. From all the parts sights and diagrams, it looks like I have to replace the entire assembly? Seems a waste. Was just about to order and there is an LED or Halogen option. I'm so lazy right now. Would my 2015 be LED or halogen...?

Same problem but instead of new I looked on eBay and bought good used then I polished with same stuff you use for headlights and it looked new

Yeah. You have to buy the whole assembly.
The good news is, it’s easy to replace.

Just replace it. Will get condensation in there over time. I recommend Rockauto.
Had good luck with them when my girlfriend's stupid son smashed in to a pole. :)

Thanks everyone. For extreme laziness, how can I know, without looking if my 2015 is halogen or LED? It is a SR5 model - nothing fancy, so probably halogen?

If you have what looks like a missing piece use 3M silicon sealer or Locktite small tube aquium safe about $6.
I knocked a big chuck off and long crack when offroad and bumper flexed up. Depends how pretty you want it or how OCD.

I have absolutely no idea. It seems improbable I backed into anything that high that would be sticking out a bit. We do live on a dirt road, but hard to imagine a rock bouncing like that. It is a mystery!

No missing piece. Part came in today. Amazing how big this thing is.
